With regards to those drug test debate, don't you think that's already moot considering that Manny already agreed to those test?

I would think it would be moot if he said clearly that he agrees to RANDOM blood tests with no cutoff weeks just like Floyd has taken them on his recent past fights. So far, since these negotiations started, Pac says he agrees to all tests and continues saying he agrees to all tests…that is, the ones from the current commission. Or that he agrees to all tests “…but with X amount of cutoff weeks”. Or he will say he agrees to something and then Roach or Arum will come up with their reason not to accept those tests. It keeps coming back and forth. There is no “We agree to ALL RANDOM BLOOD TESTS WITH NO CUTOFF WEEKS WHATSOEVER” yet.
With regards to who has a better resume, I don't have any intention to debate this. Both sides have valid arguments. I am just curious as to your opinion on that. You don't even need to explain it.

I am sort of 50/50 with both. Floyd for beating many of them in their prime and coming out clean in his fights, almost to the point of not even breaking a sweat while winning in dominating fashion. Not having a clear weakness/flaw. I kind of question his “win” versus Castillo though. Manny for winning in explosive fashion, in different weights (sure, they are catch weights but it’s still something) , etc. If this fight is ever made and there is a KO/TKO, I’ll say Manny takes it. If it goes to the scorecards, I’ll say Floyd glides to a clear victory with his boxing/defense skills. So who wins? I’ll say it can go either way. Both have what it takes to beat each other.

Beats, Boxing & Mayhem: Now, you’re willing to compromise on the blood testing. You weren’t as flexible earlier this year and walked away to take another fight. Do you regret not compromising during the first negotiations and fighting Joshua Clottey?

Pacquiao: [Pauses] Um, no. I feel like I don’t need Mayweather to make my career. I fought the best and anyone willing to face me. I want it, and feel the fans deserve the [Mayweather] fight. I want to prove to everyone that it wasn’t me who didn’t want the fight. That’s why I made the concession to take anything [blood tests] he wants at any time. Even during the fight before the sixth round if he wanted! What [else] can I do? I hope we get the fight done soon. Let’s get it on.

So based on your above statement, it would be MOOT.
If Pacquiao was bluffing, Mayweather could have exposed him by agreeing to fight in the second negotiation. Why didn't he?

    Fair enough.
Follow-up question: Is there anything special in Manny that is lacking in all of Mayweather's previous opponents? Is Manny better than any of Floyd's previous opponents?

Weeks before the interview by "Beats, Boxing and Mayhem" on November 12, 2010, an article by Michael Marley was posted in Boxingscene.com

    Excerpt from the article:

When Pacquiao was in New York a few weeks ago to hype his Nov. 13 bout against Antonio Margarito, he quietly but firmly told me he had aceded to the random testing demand. No ifs, buts and no candy or nuts if you know what I mean.

Pacman made the statement with agent Michael Koncz standing behind him. Koncz did not seek to correct or modify Congressmanny's plain assertion.

On Tuesday, as Oscar de la Hoya visited Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn to plug Golden Boy's new relationship with Barclays Center in that boxing conscious borough, I nearly had a cardiac event when I mentioned what Manny said to GBP CEO Richard Schaefer.

Two or three other scribes were within earshot. I don't know if they were as astounded as I was by Richie Rich's quick response.

I expected a "no comment" or other form of demurral.

I mean, it's not like we were in a deposition or RRS was under oath on cross examination.

But no such disclaimer or correction was forthcoming.

Instead, Schaefer co-signed Pacquiao's statement regarding accepting the at any given time blood testing for drug use.

"If Pacquiao said that, then I'm sure he wouldn't lie about it," Schaefer said without blinking.

It's not Schaefer was intoxicated with truth serum or anything.

But I did not have him across the table, under oath in a deposition or on the witness stand undergoing cross examination.

Hmm interesting. Personally, i dont think pac is juicing. Common sense dictates...why should someone who reached superstardom (from dirt poor to a millionaire) risk losing it all by taking an illegal substance. Granted urine testing is ineffective. But who in his right mind would exposed himself to it? Taking to account that many fighters were caught using that medium. I just dont see him- based on his performance that would cast a shadow of doubt. Even in the lighter weights...these are qualities he always had..endurance,power,the aggressive style. These were his trademarks. The irony is haters magnify his imperfections but at the same time accused him of using peds. Roger Mayweather said ortiz is a better boxer but at the same said it would be crazy to face pac. Hello?

Drug testing is good . But it has to be done in a context where there is genuine intention of cleaning the sports. If the Mayweathers were only proper. I believe manny would have agreed to the test inspite of the fear of an erik morales scenario. what the mayweathers done were below the belt..personal. if you were a person with principle.,would you agree to the demands of a person who insulted you? . You worked your ass off then someone publicly ruin your reputation. Wheres your pride? That is why i hate manny for that compromise.

Lastly, healthy discussion'debate among boxing fans is fun. Hate however erases all of that. Objectivity is gone. We can debate whether manny or Floyd is cherry picking their opponents. Who has the better resume. etc. But once that " he is using drugs" angle comes up...in this case Pacquaio...there is no longer basis for discussion..period.
