Got my own car for the 1st time in years - had company car for years. Bought a new one in Jan. Mondeo Titianium 2.0 TDI 163 - easily as good as my Audi A4 and nearly as good as my BM2 320. - love it - Mondeo's have come a long way!

I have a Mondeo too. But it's a shit old T reg grey one that I just leave outside to face the elements and unruly youth's.
Ive had it over 3 years and still can't remember the registration number.
It's been washed about 3 times.
I used to drive one of these before I deployed. I sold and will buy one of these when I get back.

I currently drive a Nissan Xterra, but time for a change. I bought it new 8 years ago, and I still love it, especially since it's great in the snow. This isn't mine, but this is exactly what mine looks like.
But once I move, I'm gonna get the new GMC Terrain. I took one for spin a couple months ago, and I loved it. I'm going for a whole life change, and that means a change of vehicle too.

I'm well into my cars, probably owned 30+ over the years. I was always into Jap sports cars, my favourite being my Toyota Supra Twin Turbo.
Me and the missus are about to move into our first house soon so we recently sold our cars (mine a Nissan 350Z) and pooled our money together to buy a car to share. It's a diesel sadly but my missus does a lot of miles so 60mpg was appealing. Damn you know you're getting old when MPG takes preference over performance!
Anyways we bought a BMW 3 series coupe M Sport in white. Same as below.
I'm a builder by trade and for work I have a Nissan Cabstar Tipper and a Mitsubishi L200 Animal. Not as beefy as the V8 pickups you can get Stateside but we don't have the silly $4 a gallon gas prices you get. My Animal is like the one below, again it's a diesel.
I'd love a V8 pickup like the Dodge Ram but sadly they're quite rare over here therefore very expensive at £30k ($45k). If and when the construction industry picks up over here and I can afford it, I'm seriously gonna look into importing one over. I've gotta have an American V8 at some point. Be it the Corvette Z06, Ram pickup or a Mustang! My dream car is the BMW M3 which has a V8, but being German I'm pretty sure it'll be all refined and sound nowhere near as good as a US V8.

Those 350 Z's are also a great value in a sports car, with tons of power in the HP 6 cyl. engine, and the 370Z is just bad ass. I'd love to own one of those but it isn't a practical for me to use as a business vehicle, and it would probably just set in my garage most of the time.
I got a great deal here in Texas on my regular cab 2010 Dodge R/T pickup, the sticker price was something like $33,000 American, but I got around $9,000 in rebates and dealer discounts, $15,000 for my trade in, and a break on sales tax.
I always look for great deals on vehicles before I buy them, i'm not the dummy I used to be when I first started buying cars/trucks 40 + years ago.
cheers

Mars,
What's that tax that you have to pay in the States when you register the vehicle on the road. It's like 5% or something?
I did a little research a few years back wen thinking about (or day dreaming about) getting a Shelby Mustang and apparently if I buy a car from a dealer to export to the UK, I don't have to pay this tax.
The sad thing is I would have to pay for the shipping (£2k), then I'd have to pay 10% import tax in the UK and then 20% VAT (sales tax) on top of all that. It's a lot of tax but it still works out cheaper than buying from a US car importer.
