Adam is it ok take two shakes per day?

Ive been taking one a day but I'd like to build a bit more muscle so maybe increase to 2? I don't want to increase fat though..

I have my shakes with skimmed milk.

Should be more than fine if you're training, depends how much protein you're getting from the rest of your diet but I really can't see 2 shakes being too many!

I already eat a pretty good diet, but I find with the ammount of exercise I end up doing from instructing classes (spin/Pump FX) etc on top of my own considerable ammount of training that I need to suppliment, else I'd get ill/injured/waste away.

I was never big into suppliments but my current work load leaves me little choice. On top of my usual food at the moment I'll end up having 2 shakes everyday and usually 2 protein flap jacks inbetween meals just to try and keep the protein and calories in.

Sometimes more if it's been a rough week and I'm feeling it (I eat more off how I feel/what I'm working on, I eat a base ammount and adjust with activity)

This is on top of 4 large meals. So yeah, I think you're good!

Was using 100% Whey twice daily for 4 months and have switched to Amplified Wheybolic extreme 60now once daily for workout, build. Good protein count but lower calories. Water weight remains a biatch!

Reading over all the comments. I would add one thing....read the labels very carefully. Some Protein mixes are high in sugar, carbs, and calories (You said you did not want to put on weight). See if the label says "Isolate protein"...some claim this is more quickly absorbed and better--I can not say if this is true or not. Also keep in mind, that protein taken like this is hard for the body to digest in some people. You may want to take a little before workout and a little afterward. Avoid taking at night before bedtime...it will add to weight gain. Our body will only absorb so much. Consider eating foods naturally high in protein also.

Hi Big H, well my advice for protein powder is very simple...if you want to add protein shakes to your diet make sure you buy a high quality ISOLATE WHEY PROTEIN...Isolate protein powder gets absorbed better than concentrate protein powder... depending on what your trying to achieve(loose weight OR gain weight) protein powders are different...but if your trying to loose some weight and put on some lean muscle I would choose a protein protein powder that has 35g protein in each scoop with low carb(maybe 1gram of carb in the scoop)... I actually add a couple more things to my protein shake...I add L Glutamine, and a spoon of Flax seed oil, and I also take an Arginine suppliment. You'll know if you have bought a CHEAP quality protein powder because the scoop size will be larger.... that is because cheaper, inferior protein powder have alot of "fillers"...and you don't need that crap in your body. Also mix your protein powder with water for best absorption, but at night time before you go to sleep mix your protein powder with skim milk to slow down the absorption so your body is fed for the 7 hours you sleep. I got to ask why anyone would take a protein shake and add glutimine?...the protein already has glutimine in it. Furthermore your body naturally produces glutimine from what you eat, and will not store any excess...so out it comes with the waste. The other two supplements flaxseed oil and such leave me wondering what their value would be. But I really caution you on taking a protein right before bedtime...a blueprint for fat storage. Take the isolatee protein 30 minutes before work out and thirty minutes afterward. It's like I tell my guys...you go into these health food stores and GNC centers, and if you take what they said you needed, you would'nt have time to eat. Isolate Protein and Creatine are about the only two supplements I would even consider. 90% of this Nitro/oxide/black atomic, untra mega, labeled stuff is just crap...caffeine and sugar loaded.....made for pennies and sold for big bucks and does nothing.
