I do not think Barclay really had a choice against Hearn’s who was beating him with skill, speed and punching power. Barclay got lucky. I was thinking of fighters that chose to do the wrong thing but still won. Ali v Foreman would be a good example but SRL v Hearns is not as Leonard was getting out boxed which was his strategy at first at long range but had to dig deep and fight Tommy as he was falling behind on points. The key point is that they chose that particular tactic, whilst not expected and won. Watson v Benn by standing there and taking the blows although most were on the arms or even Eubanks carrying his hands too low against Benn and still winning because he had an unbelievable chin.
