July 3rd - the aftermath of Wlad vs. Haye

I'm a Haye fan, but even if I wasn't I'd want Haye to win, just to see what Mars_ax's first post is after the fight.

Most Haye fans are realistic about his chances. The Wlad lovers have tunnel vision.

So, i'm a "Wlad lover" because I believe Haye has no chance winning? That sounds like some lame ass, "emotional" shit that Horntard would come up with.
This isn't about having "tunnel vision", compare Wlad's resume, and skill & experience at the HW championship level with what Haye's managed to accomplish so far, and it's really no contest.
If Haye if wins, i'll be here on the forum, July 3rd, it won't be the first time i've been proven wrong or my first crow-feast. In fact you can read my comments during and after the fight, Saturday night.

What forum did you used to post on Mars_ax?

Up until a couple years, I used to post mainly on the ESPN boxing Message board. One of my worst predictions ever was that Lacy would destroy that "fraud" Calzaghe. I ate crow for months after that one. Since then, I try to make predictions with my head and not my heart.

I'm not saying this to be annoying, but at least on paper, Haye has little chance of winning. Calzaghe on the other hand, had every chance of winning, I just chose to ignore it and not look at the FACTS.

You're not being annoying, I agree, on paper Wlad is a big favourite. The Haye fans are the underdogs.

You seem like an experienced boxing forum poster though, so I assumed you gave up posting somewhere else? That's all.

I've been a boxing fan for 50 + years Fenster. I don't consider myself a boxing "expert", but I doubt that there's that many fans who've watched as many 'live' fights as I have, going back to the late 50's when SRR was fighting guys like Gene Fullmer, and Carmen Basilio, at middleweight and Floyd Patterson was HW champion.

A lot of my posts here at Saddo about fights and fighters are from personal memory, but I still do a bit of research when i'm making a case about something.
