Spot on mate. Guarenteed the next time Wlad fights only Lyle will give a shit. The 'other' guy depending on your obligations will probably make a better fist of it than Haye and still.....no one will gve a shit.

Not sure there was ever any danger of him hurting Wlad but the rest I agree with.

Hate to admit it, but when they keep saying they've got the tactics to surprise Klitschko, you kind of assume there is going to be some form of gameplan apart from getting hit in the face. Like Haye said, I was putting my face there to try and draw him in. That's fine, if you're getting the face out of the way.

I kept hoping that Haye would ditch the negative and take a punch to get inside and actually hurt Klitschko, which he never really did. He showed he could take the Klitschko power, just didn't take it in order to land three or four of his own.

Although I think Klitschko was classy, composed and an all-round good guy in the build up to the fight, in fact both brothers were, I think the heavyweights needed someone to shake it up, and all that is left now is to wait for them to retire.

WOW i can't belive the hate in here, I am far from a Haye fan and i totally expected Haye to get schooled and humiliated tonight but he put up a good preformance an showed a great chin.

He did well IMHO and wouldn't mind seeing him in the ring with Vitali.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic here or not. I don't find anything praiseworthy in the way haye fought, he did exactly what he accused every other wlad opponent of doing and that is submit to him. Well now according to his own logic he's nothing but a bum since that's all wlad beats...seriously how can you praise hayes performance at all, he fought extremely negative and in one round landed a single solitary punch on wlad, that's a joke.

no not sarcastic.... i guess its because i expected it to be a blitz by wlad and i never really gave Haye any kind of chance before the fight.... I wasn't a fan of the crap taking before the fight or the UK fans at the weigh in or at the fight.

But Wlad was Hanging on for dear life in the 12th and that to me showed that Haye belonged in there with him... somthing i never thought before the fight.

I honestly dont recall a fighter relentlessy talking himself up and slamming an opponent as much, as long and as freely as Haye did and then falling flat on his face and putting on such limp offering when it came time. Hays earned it. Sort of like the little geeky loud kid talkin himself up all the time to the hottest senior gal, taunting her and poking her and then she calls his bluff....drops his trousers one night and finds nothing but a wee lil fella shaking in his shoes, Just sayin

I didnt see that at all to be fair. Yeah Haye clumped him and Wlad grabbed on for what seemed like an age whilst the referee had a little wander around the ring but I dont think Wlad was hurt at any time.

that's cause he never came close to knocking him out, Haye put himself into this position he became exactly what he accused Wlad of being, a coward, a dickhead, overrated, and mediocre, sorry but when you build yourself up and let your gums do a little bit too much flapping you better be ready to live up to your words or at least make an effort of doing so, Haye failed on both counts
