Just to put Haye's toe injury in perspective, Adamek broke his nose a few weeks or so before the war he had with Paul Briggs, which took him out of sparring in preparation for the fight, and the nose began to bleed profusely pretty much right after the fight began. Adamek, however, went into the fight with a broken nose and then afterward never blamed his performance on the broken nose.
