That's absolutely true. I know that I, especially if there is a rematch, will be cheering against Paul Williams and hoping he loses in such a one-sided way that it makes robbery impossible or the scorecards moot. And that's not really fair because he's a great fighter with a great attitude (even if his post-fight interview pissed me off).

So Lara has to score a shutout going off tonight? Or stop him, which certainly looked a possibility. I know people jump on the HBO guys, but I really don't think they were wrong about the scoring or damage. Probably about the dangers to P-Will's life (pot kettle black Roy??), which I felt he'd somehow make it through, but it was so one-sided it was mad. I had it 10-2 & neither rounds I gave to Williams were ones I thought were definitely his. Definitely my robbery of the year (did you ever post the results last year CFH you useless liberal bastard?).

First of all, Bilbo you are off your rocker. That elevator isn't going all the way to the top.

Second, I went back and watched the first four rounds the next day. Pretty rubbish fight from start to finish.

Third, I don't think this hurt Lara's stock. Everyone knows who the winner of this fight was. And after the Molina fight, he must be considered a very dangerous opponent.
My only fear is he is now high risk/low reward.

Fourth, no reason to watch this fight at all if Antillion/Rios would have gone the distance! What a fight!!
Williams looked like a sloppy unmotivated fighter to me.

If you're already paying for both HBO and SHO, just pony up the extra $5/month for DVR service and record one or both fights. Problem solved.

Here is my analysis/opinion of each round for what I saw (I have watched it twice).

Clear Lara rounds - 1,3,7,9,11 - so 5 rounds
Clear Williams rounds - 4,5,10 - so 3 rounds
Close rounds where I can see an argument for either - 2,6,8,12 - so 4 rounds

If you score all 4 closeish/pick em rounds to Williams you can have him winning the fight. As he was the one throwing a ton of punches I can see how the decision happened the way it did (in terms of the outcome; the 116-114 card is wrong). It is cheeky to score all the close rounds to 1 fighter but still there it is, I cant say its a robbery cos of that fact. The closer rounds were the old argument of clean punches vs workrate.

1st viewing I had it 115-113 Lara and 2nd viewing 116-112 Lara (I scored the 8th round differently is all the difference was).

I think Williams was very lucky to get the decision but ive seen much worse. I think the commentary was extremely bias. Every shot Lara lands was made a big deal of but Williams did a lot of work when Lara took time off and did things like land a bunch of body shots up close and they didnt say anything about it etc.

I just watched it finally, and i had it 8-4 for Lara. But i easily could of had it wider, its only because i like Williams that i scored some close rounds to him.

Judges scorecards are on fightnews. 2 of your clear Lara rounds: Round 3- 2 judges scored for PW; round 11-2 judges scored for PW. The same judges each time.
