Volunteering?

I haven't done as much lately but I used to always volunteer to coach kids soccer and football. I have done some volunteer work with some hunting and fishing clubs by taking kids fishing. I use to go to the local animal shelter a couple times a month and volunteer. With three kids now I don't do nearly as much as I used to.

Local library will have a list of places looking for volunteers, but I found a lot of them wanted you to do, say, every tuesday, or commit to 5 hours a week, where as I work 7 days in a row, then get 4-7 days off. I ended up picking up odd shifts in an oxfam ooh shop that was fun, working in a completely different environment to my normal job made it fun and I learnt some new skills (as well as getting seom cheap books!)

I do two things. I help out at the local boxing club run by a buddy of mine and until recently I sat on the Board of the local food bank.

The boxing is much more fun.
