Hmm well lets throw a few names out there. Humberto Soto could be an interesting fight. I'm sure Brandon Rios would pack on a few pounds and go after Khan. Rematch with Maidana or how about Joan Guzman?

Joan Guzman is getting on now, he is a huge waste of talent and he strugles to make the weight in alot of his fight so i wouldnt fight him.

Brandon Rios would be an ok opponent even though he would have to move up aweight. There is the winner of Maidana - Guerrero fight which i think Guerrero wins. That would be a good opponent for Khan if Guerrrero wins imo.

khan Gurrero would be a great fight. But whilst he's fighting Maidana who does Khan face in the meantime?

He avenges his loss to Prescott or else gives Maidana a rematch to prove that a crude slugger should not have made it such a close fight. Morales is clearly a step back, now if Morales had beated Maidana there would have been a case, but is stands it is clearly merely a treading water kind of fight. Morales is no JWW.

    You're out of touch.

Morales is ranked in the top 10 at lightwelter by The Ring. He is about to become WBC champion.

Khan-Morales will be a big selling unification fight between two of the worlds elite lightwelters. Fact.

That is political and corporate manipulation, but agree with Khan's lawyer and advocate namely Bilbo, that Amir is not ducking anyone in the division.

Maybe Amir will fight Prescott once he starts to see him going downhill the same way he has picked other oponents and now Erik Morales.

That is harsh, Prescott lost a couple of fights so could not justify the fight, especially losing to Mitchell. Prescott has some wins but Amir is looking at bigger fights. It is up to Prescott to raise his game as he has fallen behind Amir.

Khan fights at junior welter, both Rios and Soto hold world title belts at lightweight.

They would be more likely to face each other no, and try and unify the lightweight division?

Rios has no intention of moving up yet, he's said he wants to carry on at lightweight.

I think it's hilarious that when guys like Manny and Floyd move through weight classes people criticise them for not cleaning out a division, and now Khan is cleaning out a division you want him to move through weight classes or bring smaller guys up.

You have agreed with me though, there is no better challenge at 140 for Khan than Morales.

Guzman is a ridiculous choice btw. Not only has he discredited the sport multiple times whilst failing to make weight and refusing to fight he got the biggest gift draw in years agiants Ali Funeka at lightweight, and then came in for the rematch massively overweight, didn't even attempt to make weight and rather disgracefully was allowed to win the rematch. He deserves nothing. Also, where is he ranked in the 140 lb division?

Also, what makes you think Soto is a better opponent than Morales? Didn't Morales just fight a war with Maidana and lose a razor thin decision in arguably the best fight of the year so far? What makes you think Soto at light welter would do better than him? Seeing as Morales is worldranked and now proven at this weight class following that performance shouldn't we follow the rankings and results and matchup the best ranked fighters? Soto is unranked at 140 and would almost certainly not want to give up his newly acquired belt at 135 anyway.

Your picks just prove that Khan has no better opponent to face than Morales right now. Yes I think he will win comfortably, but when you are the best in the division that tends to happen in most fights. There are only one or two fighters at 140 who can really teat Khan and he can't make a career out of fighting only those two over and over.

Morales is the best matchup available at this time, a massive name, a ticket seller, and coming off one of the best fights of the year.
