I kind of agree, I think the ref seemed overly concerned about stopping the fight the previous round. Yes, Coleman was getting pushed back, but he was also throwing back the odd-shot. Imo you let the fighter have every opportunity to keep getting back up from those kind of shots or let his corner take control.

Nice to see the mutual respect after the fight. Just what I like, complete unadulterated trash-talk pre-fight & respect afterwards
Agreed. Coleman needs to learn to move his feet if he can't punch harder.

Paris looks ready for a Zab/Holt/LaMont kind of guy doesn't he? Don't know if he wins, be'd compete with those guys wouldn't he?

I wonder that too. Coleman was really hurt by the body shots and down, but ref should have done the count. If Coleman decides to not get up, can't get up, or is too shaky on his legs, then you stop it. Not that coleman is going to complain, but don't just waive it off.

Body shots aren't likely to get a fighter permanently damaged. Let Coleman decide if he wants to continue.

The again, nobody complained so maybe I oughtta shut up.

Without the mega jug head hat he looks as old as his own dad might ?

Seriously I had to turn the channel during the interview. If Paris was legit top ten P4P level I'd put him at 11 because of his voice.

FNF proved tonight that if you have guys matched pretty well (and they have a decent amount of skill) then you end up with something worth watching.

It has been a pretty good year for FNF.
My boy Kermit is on FNF next week, that should be fun, maybe he can find someone to beat for a change.

I'd match him with Mike Alvarado, who isn't young at 31, but is just outside the top 10 and is a good fighter. showtime would grab that fight in a second. Or look at 10th ranked prospect Danny Garcia.

That really was a terriffic pro fight.

    Two VERY well taught guys.

Two guys who understood what they wanted to do.

Excellent ebb and flow and thoughtful countering.

Serious desire and determination demonstrated by both men I thought.

Paris won and Coleman was beaten, but I don't think anyone lost anything.

He probably thinks he sounds cool, that's the sad part.

hopefully Antwone Smith shows he is ready to step up to the next level and gives us a good fight.
