Just like De La Hoya threw it away against Tito late on , I think Quartey threw it away against Oscar late on . I had him one point up going into the last round . As long as he didnt lose that round the fight was his but he lost it big .

1st half of the fight was Oscars . He boxed well . Not much action but I think he was winning the rounds cuz Quartey was too slow to get to work . Round 6 Quartey wasnt hurt from the left hook . Oscar was . Plus he stayed hurt for the whole round which I think Quartey won so 10-9 is fair to Quartey even though both men went down . 2nd half of the fight was all Ike . He was dominating . Better sharper jab , getting hit less, he had more power and looked in control . Not much action from either man but Ike was winning round after round . He had it in the bag but that left hook at the start of the 12th hurt him . Oscar went all out for the K.o but called off the assult when a right hand hurt him . He was so close to a k.o win but deserved the fght by 1 point IMO .

I think the controversy is the fact that Oscar was AHEAD going into the 12th round on the judges scorecards.

    Round 11-Quartey 10-9
    Round 12- Delahoya 10-8

    Delahoya 113
    Quartey 114

Had a good time watching that match again ! Really love Ike Quartey's jab, if Ike got that RT hand working more in his career as a whole , he would have been a world beater !

I noticed I am the only person that scored the 1st round for Quartey?? Oscar's little flurry at the end hit elbows ! Quartey spent the majority of the round backing Oscar up and landing that sweet jab ! watch it again !

    My Card

    DLH ROUND QUARTEY

    10 1 9
    9 2 10
    10 3 9
    10 4 9
    9 5 10
    9 6 10

Just about gave it to Quartey - but still think it should've been stopped in the 12th - I know Quartey recovered qucikly and with hindsight it looks a good decision to let him go on, I just think he took to many shots.

i agree big h but its hard to stop a fight when he was throwing back and even though they wernt clean he still was throwing back and if they would of stopped it would of been bad decision by ref anyway because ike won rest of 12th round

How do yall justify giving Round 1 to Delahoya?? just curious I felt it was an easy round for Quartey. Ike dominated the majority of the round backing Delahoya up using his jab and left hook.. Oscar had a few flurries at the end of R 1 , but landed nothing except on the elbows. The majority of the round was dominated by Ike

I just notice VD is in agreement. anyone else ? look at R 1 again and see what you think !

Hearld must have been watching the ring card girls during R 1 .

Agreed my Zombie loving friend, I thought the ref was going to stop it but he let him go, if I was the ref I would have stopped it, but on points I scored it identical too you.
