That may be true, but I can't stand the holding!!!! He has a good enough jab that no fighter should get close..and he SHOULD use his uppercut more often rather then hold, or at least a step around I mean come on!!! Doesn't the holding get on your nerves? Sincey ou know he could do so much more with his ability?

Honestly...I really REALLY dig on Wlad (now that the big bro is gone & I have no choice ) & I really don't think that his holding is that big of a factor...the kid wins & in the end...he does it legit & he's been doing it in devstating fashion...so whatever works...works.

It aint like he's pulling a Johnny Ruiz.

The only upset to be seen here is the brooding "man on man" experssion on Briggs face...I mean...just look at him...LOOK!

Maybe Wlad's tag line for this fight should be..."I beat up on menzes who try to look like he-bitches with wack ass hair cuts!"

Agreed Starr but in the end he does what he feels comfortable doing and he wins.

Wlad has all the punches in his arsenal I just wish he would use them more...but he is more comfortable and doesn't punch himself out like he used to

He lost more than Brewster and Purrity beat him....Sanders was the only true loss I count as someone just being better than Wlad on a given night...Wlad could have done a better job of weathering the storm though, he just didn't know how to do it, clinching would have helped a lot that night

Briggs is what you might call a live underdog. He has a good chance to knockout Wlad, the problem for Briggs is how is he going to react to that vicious str8 right Wlad throws? Klitscho can crack like a mofo and has good accuracy with his punches. the edge goes to Klitscho , Briggs best chance is to Bum rush Klitscho right from the go, never let Klitscho get started, neutralize him before he become a threat.

Starr Briggs is not coming in under 235, wasn't he like 273 last time out? That's like saying Toney will come in at 215 for the Peter fight, not happening.

I don't like Wlad and I probably never will but he's a good fighter, I'm still not sold that he's a great fighter and he's still vulnerable in several areas, but he's probably the most complete heavyweight around these days and I see him being much quicker on his feet and outmanuevering Shannon and hurting him with the right when he lands it clean.

Of course Briggs has a chance...just not a good one. Especially considering he likes to weigh as much as 14 elephants these days. If he wants to beat Wlad then he has to go for the chin early. But being so heavy I dont think he has the speed to work that effectively and actually reach the chin...

Im not sold on Wlad whatsoever though....

I am not sold on either fighter. It is going to come down to whoever can land the first BIG clean shot to the chin first. The one that does that will win the fight. Neither fighter can stand in a take shots, but I would give Wlad the edge he has at least learned how to hold. I give Briggs 3 rounds to win after that Wlad will use him as a punching bag. I would be surprised if the fight goes past 5 rounds.

I wouldn't be surprised if it went the distance...I mean odds are against it but Wlad doesn't start out bombs away...odds are that even Briggs will be cautious at first too....doesn't mean he won't be using a bunch of energy though.

Wlad's jab wins the fight more than any 1 big punch. I mean how many recent heavyweight fights have been 1 punch KO's? Not a lot.....it might be a TKO later on though

I dont think it will be a one punch KO by any means, but I think whoever gets that first true shot in will have the other on the back foot. I dont believe that either fights worth a damm off of the back foot. Wlad might stand a chance since ES taught him how to hug, but even then I dont have faith in him.

Briggs has a punchers chance of victory, & that's his only hope. I don't really like Wlad at all, but he should definately win this fight by KO. I wouldn't be surprised though to see Wlad shaken or even floored though. But in the end I see Wlad's big right ending the fight!
