Thing is, I'm sure the break freshened Holyfield up, the injuries have healed, and he looked good beating an insurance salesman...but he would of easily beat that guy and guys of that level before the lay off.

Bates was the quickest and only the 5th stoppage for Holyfield since he beat Douglas 16 years ago. He has long grueling fights ahead against any of the top, half decent, heavyweights out there and that's where the problems arise...

    Hmm well maybe not.

I know the point you are making but still you might be wrong to categorize folks that disagree with you as being something other than 'true lovers' of Holyfield.

I'd love to see him clean up the division and retire on his own terms.

Certainly there is a matter of being sensible but there's enough rationale for his continuing that I think - in the end - it's the hurt business - hopefully no one gets damaged - but there are many reasons not to be in the ring.

Youth. Inexperience. Age. Incompetence. The fact that it is possible to get damaged regardless of whether you are in your prime or not.

Some things increase likelihood of getting hurt. Age is one. Just one.

There are also still many reasons not to step into the ring to fight Holyfield, even a Holyfield of his present age.

Fres may just find that out. So may some others.

Since we have no control over the matter, I'm hoping so.

Boxing is what Evander loves to do, a person gets into the sport for love of the game, this is what Evander knows, and does for a living. He should have the right to fight on , as long as he pass his medical exams , he has earned the right to make a living , can he get hurt? Sure he can. Is boxing a dangerous profession?? Sure its , so is a firefighter, or policeman, but they do that shit for an average of only $27,000 a year.. Risk reward ratio.. For a few million dollars, its worth the risk. Evander spends a lot of money, that 27,000 SQFT house in Georgia isn’t free. Taxes - electri on that alone is astronomical .My point is Evander has the right to fight and pay the bills just like anyone else do.

I hate to break it to you...but his house is the least of his problem.

    Evander needs to be snipped.

Holy's got like nine kids. Three with his first wife from 1991 and five born out of wedlock to four loose scandalous women.

Two of those rug rats were popped out of wedlock in the same year with other girlfriends.

Respect Holy. Your'e the man. Praise the Lord. You are blessed.

Evander looked impressive in his last fight. If he's Wladimer he will be fighting for a vacant championship(even if it isnt major) soon
