My train of thought:
I could care less who wins but here are my thoughts:
-Monte looked like crap last time out
-Pretty sure Monte doesn't have the power to KO Valuev
-Monte is quicker than Valuev
-Valuev has gotten a better but could still use speed+jab+head movement
-Suprisingly, Valuev doesn't have the KO power he should...but he is more likely to KO Monte than the other way around.
true....but Valuev has shown Improvement with every fight....Originally Posted by mucho testosterone

He just might get another 5. Sad? F YES! Could it happen? Yup, Don King,
you didn't have to go there....King will try to pull the same SH*T he tried with Holmes....Maybe for the 49th King will have Valuev fight a welterweight...Originally Posted by 1st rd ko

Ok soon I will laugh at you. Then everyone will say that it was a miss match and that it doesnt prove anything. Listen; Val is not a joke. He has what it takes: long jab, uppercut, clinch, stamina, chin; a good big boxer beats a smaller good boxer. That is why I will laugh at your prediction.Originally Posted by Lyle
Yep, I included that but the guy would be very very tough to beat if he developed the items I included above. Until then, he is vunerable.Originally Posted by THE Bigragu
Well have a look at the heavyweight division at the moment. It isn't as if there are that many good rounded fighters there, almost all of them are on an upwards or downwards curve, and they all have something to learn before they can be op notch boxers and dominate the HW's. Klitschko's closest, but in a mediocre division, Valuev's sheer size gives him a massive advantage and it puts him up there near the top of the division where boxrec have him. His skills are improving, and i fancy him a big win tonight.Originally Posted by mucho testosterone
Ok my thoughts....valuev doesnt fight like 7'. He scrunches down and bends over. doesnt have a great jab. When he gets hit he puts on the earmuffs and bends over. he is 7' 300 but its all spread out, look at him from the knees up or waist up and hes not much bigger than a 6'4" guy, long shins or legs arnt alot of help. A 6' 240 lb guy is way stronger than a 7' 300 lb guy. Also hes not in great shape. no definition, no arm size, no washboard abs, nothing....No crack on his punches. Im a big guy at 6'4" and been 277 so id like to see the big guys dominate....but.....i think hes a bum...a sideshow....Also a big guys head is (almost) the same size as a smaller man and the brain vs skull contest ends the same. A big man gets knocked out as easy as a small man,.. heads are about the same size and maybe longer torso and neck make for more snap and therefor an easier knockout than a shorter stockier guy. A ray mercer is hard to knock out. like punching a fire hydrant. He will beat Barrett and i hope create some interest for boxing leading up to a big fight against a real fighter....where he gets destroyed. My thoughts thanx for reading... if you reply be intellegent and respectfull of ill come to your house beat you up and do your wife...or mom (if shes hot.......or hottish)

More importantly, the fact is that Barrett was given a lesson in the fistic arts last night by a superior fighter, and he did well to survive as long as he did. But let's face it, from the off there was no way he was going to win, he just didn't have it in him.
I'm quite surprised there haven't been more of the american fans turning on their man and ripping him to shreds in a feeding frenzy of criticising Barrett for being a bum. Wait for it....it will come.
