Miranda is back in peak condition (as he was in his first trip to Germany before Abraham played sick).
He should be very impressive on HBO Saturday.

After the fight I would bet he will have some words for Taylor. This is the fight he has wanted since he came to fight for Warriors in America. Miranda was at both Taylor/Hopkins fights and thought Hopkins won both. He has said he wants to personally show Taylor how to win a fight convincingly.

I have been watching (and a big fan of) Miranda from his first fight in America against Sam Reese. He has improved greatly since than and continues to get better. Personally I think he beat Abraham and was robbed of the belt. There is no question of his power and heart, and his chin seems to be pretty damn good also (Abraham hit him hard on a few occassions).

I dont think Taylor will fight Miranda. Big risk and not a big reward. Maybe after a few more good fights, Miranda will build up a bigger name and pick up a belt. Than it may be a reality. By than with more schooling, I would feel very confident that Miranda would take out Taylor.

Miranda is a pretty heavy hitter. IMO he won against Abraham. I don't know about this fight. The way Taylor backs up and allows himself to be pressured in the corner is NOT good. If he fights the same way he fought Winky and Ouma, I would actually put my money on JT getting knocked out. If he comes forward and keeps the bout in the center of the ring without backing up into corners, I could see him cruising to a UD. But JT just doesn't listen, he has obvious stamina problems that ruin his balance and footwork in the later rounds, I think he'll be beaten very soon. He definitely shouldn't take that JoeCal fight unless he's serious about fixing his mistakes and improving his conditioning. JT frustrates me because he's got great physical talent but he has continued to make the same mistakes his whole career. His talent will only take him so far, he needs to start being disciplined and stick to gameplans.

Taylor was getting backed up by a smaller, weaker Ouma and Miranda seems to have plenty of heart and that power too so it would certainly be an interesting fight and whichever way you look at it,it woudn't be easy for JT. I agree with you guys,I think Miranda beat Abraham but the rematch should resolve these issues. By the way,did a Miranda punch or foul break Arthur's jaw

I ask because I watched the fight and the replays showed lots of heads coming together etc so I wasn't sure!

Miranda broke his jaw two times, both were from clean punches.
The headbutt was very mild and on the back of the head. It had no effect on the jaw...

Honestly I don't think Abraham will be able to fight by June and will have to retire the belt.
I have a 'source' in Germany that says he has heard through the grapevine that Abraham's jaw is not healing as well as they had hoped. He also says rumors are the Abraham and Sauerland are not getting along.

Of course this is boxing, and you can only believe so much.

But if the rematch did happen here in the States, especially with Abraham having a questionable jaw, I think Miranda would stop him fair and square. I hope it happens, but I won't hold my breath. If not, I see a fight with Taylor or Pavlik happening down the road.

I belive taylor would be very swollen in the face in a fight against miranda. Edison punches very hard and pressure all the way. If Taylor wants to win such a fight, he must have the guts like the ones arthur abraham showed that night they faced each other. And from what i have seen is that Taylor seem to be more in survival mode when he gets troubled in there. Taylor is very good, but this would be a very dangerous fight for him. For me, personally, the Ouma fight meant nothing particular. Taylor should focus on cleaning out his division instead of taking these kind of fights. He gets paid very well from what ive heard, so I mean he could sacrifise and face some dangerous puncher in there, not just very good technicans! If he wants to be the best, face Miranda. or Abraham. that would be some great fights I belive.
