When ordering food in France talk a little louder and a little slower. If that doesnt do the trick, smash the place up safe in the knowledge that you tried your best.

I went to France last summer for a few weeks and spent 4 days in paris. Aside from all the typical tourist stuff make sure the get to the Left Bank, that's where all the artsy, bohemian stuff is.

I have family that lives in france b/c my dad's sister married a frenchman. They have two houses, one in St. Germain, which is in paris and one in the south of france in a town called Cavalaire which is about 5-10 minutes from St. Tropez.

Be careful cause you can get ripped of in paris! I ate at this restaurant that was right near the Eiffel tower so we figured it would be good, my meal alone was $40 and was basically fast food quality or below and gave me food poisoning. I also bought a beer that cost something like 16 euros or over $20 for like a 12 oz glass in paris.

Incidentally I can speak french for shit and am American and never had a bad experience with any of the people there. There were some beautiful women there; so much more refined than american women.

There are striking women there....and I guess they are more refined than American girls....but American girls are more fun.

French women can be very caty and serious almost brooding.....but yes very good looking.

But then again there are good looking women everywhere to an extent

The Gospel according to Lyle - people would pay to hear his Nietzschean musing, mixed with the philosophic strands of Descartes and Maigritte.

Just got back last night. It was great time I couldn't believe how much the city reminds me of New York. Except they speak French. Either place, the people mostly ignore you, the food is great, the sights are awesome, and it costs you a fuckload of money.
