Anybody got an good tips for a yank going to Paris for the first time? I'm heading out tomorrow night and I'd like to see a few things not in the guidebooks - pubs, hole in the wall restaurants, clubs with good techno that doesnt' require you to dress like a frickin model.

I figure there has to be a few frenchy's on this forum, or at least a few brits who have spent some time there. I'll give CC's for good tips. I'll even give cc for good wisecracks
