Forget what era they were from
Jake Lamotta--Did he really kill a man when he was a teenager? And why did he never buckle to the Mob (pride maybe) and get more title fights?
Jack Johnson--What was it like being probably the worlds most recognised blackman in a racist era and who hit back the hardest out of all those old school scrappers.
Johnny Tapia-- The man's life has been an utter rollercoaster with him rumoured to have 'clinically' died 6 times.
Good thread CMM
kostya tszyu.
grew up getting bullied, started boxing and getting beaten up by the bigger fighters. realy rough up bringing with no money. hard as nails doing press ups with candles under him. and he's a legend. would be a good BTG.

Thats why we are doing this thread, they don't have to be ATG or Legends or from a certain era it just has to be who YOU think deserves one.....

Did he also do press-ups over broken glass? Sure I heard that somewhere.Originally Posted by jbirdy
I would like to see one on Michael Carbajal - he did great things as far as getting recognition for the lower weight classes, and still runs a gym out here in Phoenix. Furthermore, he still gets in the papers with the occasional assault charge.
I would also like to see one on Glen Johnson - always underated, always fights all-comers anywhere. A fine example of what a boxer should be, he's knocked out the reigning p4p champ, and been on the p4p list every now and then.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

You are wrong Miles. A truly wise man patiently waits for the foolish man to make his move and then wisely goes in the opposite directionOriginally Posted by miles

Oliver McCall, Ike Ibeabuchi, Naseem Hamed, Tapia's story has to be made into a movie...Gerald McClellan, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Sam Langford, Hank Armstrong. The last two are highly overlooked if you ask me.
someone said there was a BTG curse meaning like an undefeated fighter who did BTG would lose shortly after their episode? hahaha i dont know if thats exactly true, not as blantantly obvious as the EA sports Fight Night curse now that was a curse LOL
