What a great fight that would have been.

Very close to call but I think Marciano on points..

    What do u think?
Ali wins wide ud if Jersey Joe Walcott could outbox Rocky for almost 13 rounds Ali would aswell
Also take into account that Ali wasn't a technical fighter. Ali wasn't even a complete fighter he didn't know how to adapt to fighter like Norton, counter a fighter like Frazier. It was because of of being impartial that Ali was floored when taking a counter left hook from Frazier. Frazier's trainer saw that Ali didn't know how to throw a proper uppercut and therefore would stand up and drop his right hand. Chuvalo didn't have the strength of Marciano but it was his pressure that gave Ali trouble.

Rocky is more impressive than a lot people give him credit for, he wasn't a big mover but because of his stance and range he was a hard to hit fighter, he would also adapt, he could feint, he had a phantom overhand punch, and was a strong infighter.

Ali was very athletic and had some good personal qualities but never had the technical skills to sucker Rocky. Besides Rocky's trainer was very perceptive and could adapt his fighter to other's strengths better than any other trainer that I can think of.

I think even in the unlikely event of a cut, I can see Rocky winning by a midfight KO. Ali wouldn't be able to tie him up or stay off the ropes forever.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

1965-67 Ali would win an easy UD, outboxing the Rock. To tall, to fast, to good.

If i had to fight one of them i'd flip a coin because its a losing situation either way. Heads you get so hard with one punch that you have post traumatic stress disorder when you wake up and you don't wanna be near anything leather or red for the rest or your life. Tails you get hit with so many punches that are spot on accurate that when something flashes past your face afterwards you assume the fetal position.
Ali has fought tough brwalers like Marciano and has come out on top im not biggest fan of Ali but Ali would beat Marciano by ud imo.
This is probably the toughest fight to pick a winner for in the heavyweight division. I could see this fight endng several different ways and could present a case for all of them.

Sorry but i disagree Rocky was very slow yes he could bang but Ali is alot faster than Jersey Joe Walcott who was easily outboxing Rocky and Ali would just dance and win pretty clear cut decision

All marciano needs is to land one punch. I said marciano by extremely close decision because i feel that he knock ali down a couple of times but ali refuses to be stopped as this is prime for prime.

ali would win--people keep putting these 2 against each other when better match ups would be --marciano-demsey , marciano-(prime)louis and
    ali-louis, (prime)ali-holmes

I would think Ali would win on cuts in round 7 or 8. By the way, I remember hearing once that Ali and Marciano did a computer fight. I am not sure how that far back. By the way, the way computers and programs are progressing I would think someday they will be able to feed in a persons style and clips of that person and come to a conclusion how the fights would result. Could not be as accurate as the truth.

Ok let me make a list on whats wrong with that clip.

    1. No one ever knocked ali out and neither would the rock.
    2. Marciano was not equally as fast or even faster than ali as that clip depicted.
    3. Ali keeps throwing sloppy left hooks, completely abandons the jab, and doesn't tie up marciano on the inside? hmm let me look for another fight where he did that. Nope this is the only one.

Much better fights could be made:
Ali V Walcott, for the artistic.
Marciano V Frazier: for the War Veterans.
