    Using the Marciano/Walcott fight to look at this one I can see much of it works on the same basis. Using a jab to disrupt the opponent from bringing his hand back which in this case sets up the over hand right.

    The key points here is that Williams hand is extended which isn't much different than Marciano's extended left, which can lead to a counter as long as it's away.

    Toney's jab is the second key point, as it disrupts Williams and allows a hard right hand to follow.

    That's great, I should also note that this goes into Toney's style of counters, take his shoulder-roll counters for instance.

    right on Chris. the jab is a crucial punch .. here it lands for Toney freezing his opponent momentarily allowing James to close the show with right hand. notice the perfect balance and leverage on the shot. a thing of beauty.

    It is. I should've said it myself, Toney is in perfect position to throw a right hand, just like the Walcott/Marciano example.
