I don't think the fight will happen,he might try to give up th belts, move up and fight JC. If they do fight,I'd favour JT slightly.I think Pavlik would bring out the fighting spirit in him which he showed earlier in his career and exhibited v Winky too.

He would have his moments because Kelly's hands can be low at times. However,I'd favour the Ghost,JT can get trapped on the ropes,he has not faced as murderous a puncher as Kelly and his activity levels would give JT fits. Remember, had Winky let his hands go in the 12th,he would have won. Had B Hop let his hands go earlier in their fights,he might have won at least 1. Kelly won't have that problem, the guy is a wrecking machine.

If JT takes this fight, and wins in a war,he will have won over the fans for sure. It'll be tough,a close fight, but I favour Pavlik on points.

Taylor's going to win this fight. That much is sure. It's will people say Pavlik just beat an underskilled Miranda and never fought anybody thats the question.

Taylor isn't gonna let Pavlik stalk him and load up for his right hand. And he has a better chin then Miranda better boxing skills, is faster and has better balance(for his lack of it) then Miranda does.

Point blank, Taylor will be the greatest fighter Pavlik has ever fought. The same cannot be said about Pavlik.

Whilst I agree that Taylor will fight Pavlik better than he has fought in his last few fights,I HIGHLY doubt it will be as easy as yo are making out. He has better balance than Miranda...so what? JT's balance is still woeful. And how does he have a better chin than Miranda, which punchers has JT fought?

JT's power at higher levels is questionable,he was constantly being backed up by the weak compared to Pavlik,Kassim Ouma and Winky. Pavlik is bigger, stronger and hits tonnes harder than them both. Pavlik is also fairly decent defensively,I don't know if people notice but although he gets hit,he knows how to smother shots too and he takes a few on the gloves.

And just because Taylor will be the the best fight Pavlik has fought and not the same for Taylor, what relevance does that have?> Styles make fights. Taylor's inactivity will cost him. Like I said, this isn't B Hop throwing 5 punches a round,or some blown up 154 pounder. This is the biggest strongest and baddest guy Taylor has fought.

It'll be far from easy for Kelly and JT will have his moments for sure but Kelly would win imo on points.

Umm i can't split em to be honest haven't seen Taylor ever take a flush shot from big puncher so i can't say to be honest so its very hard to split em i think Taylor will have huge trouble with Pavliks constant pressure and boy can Pavlik bang.

I twon't be an easy fight, Because Taylor always fight to the level of opposition he has in front of him..... It will come down too Taylor being able to take Kelly's punch, and Kelly being able to back & land punches on Taylor.

The step back up will shock him.... Im not gonna buy the Holyfield analogy for a second.
With the aggression, poise and accuracy that Pavlik brings, Taylor will be found wanting.

CC--my thoughts exactly. JT's already given up alphabet straps at this division, why is the WBC belt any different? He makes a ton more money fighting JC and would have to give up the belts to do that anyway. The only reason he'd take this fight is because Pavlik is a much easier opponent for him than JC is. I'd pick JT over Pavlik by decision; JC over JT by decision (unless he breaks both his hands in round 1).

So I'll vote JT by decision, I guess. But there really ought to be an option for "this fight isn't going to happen just because the WBC wants it to happen."

CC bak bro, thats my thinking and not just that but there could be a confilct within team Taylor because I think his next fight is his last fight DiBella unless he re-signs and Di Bella wants him to fight Pavlik but Al Haymon(Manager?) wants him to fight someone elseJC) so again,I doubt this fight will happen.

I wonder why you say that? I have a sneaking suspicion....

Anyways, Pavlik backed up possibly the hardest guy to back up in the division in Miranda. Backing Taylor up, as Wright showed, is what kills Taylor. Taylor did not win a single round in that fight when Wright wasn't flatfooted. Pavlik has a good jab and what comes after it is even better. Taylor will have plenty of opportunity to land, but he would have to be busy because he is not a counter puncher.

I need to see the whole Miranda - Pavlik fight (though I think pieced together I think I basically have seen the whole thing, I've definitely got the jist of the fight. Taylor used to be a busy, aggressive fighter. Where did that go? If he has any hope of beating Pavlik, he'll need that old Taylor to come back.

Begrudgingly, I'm saying Pavlik by points.

Let me say this without getting into an all out arguement with Sweet Sassy Sugar Puss...but Taylor don't take a flush shot worth a fiz-uck! Hopkins clocked Taylor in the first fight, it was either the 9th or 10th round I believe, and nearly knocked his head off of his shoulders. Taylor dropped his hands, got clocked again & then acted like a deer in headlights prior to gettin tagged again & then went flailing around & back pedaling on his bike until he could get a clutch on Hopkins.

I encourage everyone to back up & do the research yourself if youv'e got Taylor's career on tape...he did the same thing against Wright as he did against Hopkins. The first sign of this came when he fought Cuevas in 2003 or 2004...can't remember which month or whether it was the end of 2003 or the start of 2004. Anywho, he beat Cuevas over 12 rounds unanimously but Cuevas did crack Taylor a few times & Taylor did the ole' hand drop deer in headlights weakness that he DOES have!

The reason that no one's seen Taylor take a hard flush shot is due to the fact that he's hardly ever fought a power punching middleweight of legit status. Sure he's fought Joppy, Hopkins, & Wright...all champions & worthy contenders...but Joppy was pretty much a spent force, Hopkins didn't seem motivated for the games, & Wright isn't known for being a heavy handed hitter.

Pavlik will be a totally different story. While I like Pavlik & have expressed my hopes of him in the past...he's a bit like Miranda was for me...he's not my particular cup of tea & not the type of fighter that I get behind as far as skills go.

Pavlik looked, dare I say, "amazing" against Miranda? Yep...I dare. He looked amazing. To be honest...& I love to use this phrase because it's an Ali one & it is so over the top to hear him say it : "HE SHOOK UP THA WORLD"! No one was really expecting that...no matter what Pavlik's die hard fans said...no one expected that type of showing...maybe they hoped that he'd win...but NO ONE COULDA SEEN THAT COMIN.

Anywho...back to what I was saying. Pavlik will do well against Taylor...but not as well as he did against Miranda. While Taylor is a bit of a disappointment to me, & pretty much the world as we know it, he's leaps & bounds over Miranda. Miranda left bigger holes in his defense than I have holes in me gotdam socks...& I have some holey ass socks.

I truly believe that a Pavlik match will be sink or swim for Taylor & if Pavlik comes in as determined as he was against Miranda...we will have a fantastic fight on our hands...win, lose, or draw for Pavlik.

Well i will have to rewatch that fight Wacko for the info though didn't know all that but i agree Pavlik is massive puncher and Taylor won't able to do his normal stuff of just being able to win a fight Pavlik won't be looking for a points win he will go in the ring and try and take Taylors head off Pavlik will be a star imo he will beat Taylor and anybody else at Middleweight dare i say he could be a force at Supermiddleweight aswell ?? i did watch Miranda vs Pavlik that was proper boxing at its best toe to toe slugfest no holds barred he walked through everything Miranda had to offer and just comeback at him and beat crap out of him he looked good a proper in that fight and i believe he will finally put an end to these gift decisions Taylor is getting.

...because it's the same thing that he did against Spinks, Wright, Cuevas, & Ouma...just minus all that flailing around bullshit agaist Hopkins.

For some reason...Taylor seems to have forgotten his defense, power, & boxing smarts. Seriously...I shit you not...I don't know WTF has happened to this kid. He was somethin else prior to the Hopkins bout. Now I know that no one is perfect...but Taylor was REALLY good. I'd love to see him get it back...but honestly...I'd love to see someone that earned it command the championship.

I don't feel that Taylor has earned all of his wins lately.
