Not from a scientific stand point, no... But that, for me only amplyfies the feeling of dispair, confusion & doom that you would expect to be conveyed when faced with the end of the world.

If you really look into what your seeing, you could say that the whole mood and backdrop of this film is genuinely appocolyptic.

There's a brief scene at piccadilly circus that kinda shows this

Here's the thing tho, from this point on science would be used to try and find the source of a problem. I don't think it would be an all out panic. Everyone can say how they'd react to certain events but until they are facing them in real time, they have no idea how they are gonna react. You know jon stewart would come on the air for the daily show and open with a joke along the lines of "Well there's going to be no more people born but on the bright side, that means there's not gonna be any new stupid people". We should feel nothing but doom and gloom now but because we generally have a sense of humor that allows us to laugh at things that should be depressing and a faith in humanity that allows us to realize "it can get worse, but something will get better", we'll make it somehow. If not, I want front row seats to armagedon. Fuck hiding somewhere and being taken out by an earthquake or something lame.

Have you actually watched the film?

Honestly mate it gets the atmosphere, the mood and the realism absolutely spot on if you ask me. I honestly don;t think they could have made it any better, one of the best sci fi films of all time.

Exactly, there's no point trying to pick over the movie off a trailer and what your friend said.

And it's a lot more then the children not being born, there is also an immigrant uprising as the governments try to stamp them out.

I liked it, some of it could have been explained more or just kind of seemed to be thrown in randomly but overall it was good. Not one of my favorite movies ever but one of the better ones I've seen this year.

I have to say the last scene was good, well not the last but when they come out of the building. It could have easily been an overdone scene but they did it very well.
