Yeah they are sneaky little critters. Though the Widow is really bad with its neurotoxic venom, the one I would kill on site is a brown recluse. They are nasty and can jump like Jordan as you put it, and will not hesitate to bite. That is a nasty venom they have, and is necrotic in its effect. My friends grandpa got hit by a recluse and 1/4 size chunks were falling out of his arm the next day

Dont mind spiders myself. Actually found one on my exercise bike when I was on it yesterday and just put it on a piece of paper and moved the little fella to the closet!

I actually never kill any insects, even if there is a bee or wasp in the house I just trap in a glass and release it outside. I dont even kill flies, though the little fuckers tempt me sometimes!

Well quick update.

I let go a single bug bomb in the room 2 days ago... So far i've checked behind the bed several times and have not seen any movement from the 'babies' which seems to have infested things down there. Although I have gotten that far into cleaning so until I move things around down there again, I can't be sure the bomb has even done anything at all. But for 2 days I havn't seen any spiders or any movement in my bedroom... So that is 1 positive.

I will still live in a little fear until I have removed everything from the room except the bed and I can see that their are no places for the bastards to hide.. I will still check my blankets before climbing in though.

I also got a professional outdoor surface spray and gave around my window and door near my room a good hosing down around the edges. A bunch of spiders came running out but soon dropped down and died. They were all tiny apart from one... But it's still early summer so all the small ones i'm getting rid of at the moment would soon have been BIG ones, so the work needs to be done now...


BUT - As usual, whenever a young adult starts any type of campaign of progress in his life, their will be a setback standing in his way in the form of 2 older adults... His PARENTS... and my case is no exception....
My parents in this case, insist on leaving both our front and back doors wide open from the early evening until they wake in the morning. This is due to it being a verrrrry hot few days, and as the night cools down, they open the door to let in fresh cool air... But of course, this welcomes in anything and everything that thinks the inside of a house is more inviting than the outside.

Fewer than 5 minutes ago I walked to the kitchen to take some glasses out of my room, and there in the sink was a GIANT GIANT white tail spider.... If you don't have these in America and the UK, thank your lucky stars.. They are god awful things that are rumoured to cause horrible horrible bites that rot your flesh.. Their are also rumours that this is untrue... But if freaking scientists can't even figure it out for sure, I'm not going to take ANY chances...

Now this one was HUGE.. They are on average, usually about the length of a finger nail. This mofo was easily from the tip of my middle finger down to the middle nuckle.... That is not normal.. That is freakish alien wake-up-in-the-morning-to-find-your-leg-is-green,-mouldy-and-4-of-your-toes-have-falled-off UNNN-Normal....
Now here's where I am PISSED OFF!!!! In my room, I am prepared for battle and armed for attack,,,,, outside my room, my mum is freaking inviting the enemy over the border for Tea and Scrumpets....




I just hope this battle doesn't end with me having a disfigured leg !!! It's my nightmare at the moment !!!

Oh, I was going to look up and post a link showing a whitetail, but I just met the captain of their experimental growth division in real life so can't bring myself to see any more for tonight..

.....I hate spiders too, I also dislike sharks.....sorry Australia I am not going to visit you anytime soon....but if I do be prepared to lose some exotic species of spiders and sharks, because I will kill them by any means necessary

Well quick update.

Funny, last night my girlfriend was trying to persuade me at 11:40 pm to ring up and get a hotel room for the night so we didn't have to sleep in my room... It was near years even and still a million degrees outside so I didn't feel like driving around looking for an empty hotel room on New Year Eve..

Anyway, I did realise something important late last night which helped dramatically. I've been studying hympnosis/psychology/alternative therapy for the past few years and DUH, I figured i'd try some on myself to see if I could treat my spider phobia... I thought it was a real long shot, but I honestly had paralyzing fear and paranoia last night and I was letting it completely take over....
Anyway, I spent just over 10 minutes doing 2 different things...

And absolutely amazingly, I got my paralyzing fear under control.. I was still paranoid as hell though and every single tiny black mark on a wall or roof was immediately a spider before a closer observation. I had to constantly scan all over the place all night to keep checking for movement, but my fear was gone.... I actually think if i'd worked another 10 or 15 minutes I could have got rid of the paranoia,,,,, but I thought that a little paranoia and caution is probably still a good thing considering their was an actual reason for me thinking their is spiders everywhere.. Because their IS, and I don't want to get bitten...

BUT, without fear, I was able to sleep relatively peacefully, and have finally cleaned a large portion of my room and feel MUCH better..

So anyway, in my time of learning hypnosis, I have had very limited experience treating others... I have learnt many of the techniques and have tried some of the more fun and interesting ones on my girlfriend, but have not found any circumstances to help others...

So without anyones objection, I am going to record the 2 techniques that I used last night and upload them here for some of you guys to test out on a phobia and tell me how they go.... It would be cool for me to see if i've actually learnt anything productive that can help someone else...

I'll start a new thread once i've uploaded them explaining what they're all about so just keep a look out... I trust some of you guys who have expressed your equal hate for the aracnidian race to give them a try

Oh yeah, I owe all you guys a CC... It's pretty damn immasculating being scared of a thing half the size of my finger,,,, but if someone who has close to 16,000 posts, on a forum dedicated to 2 men punching each othe,r will run the other way when seeing a spider as well, then it's not all bad.

LEGION you are one lucky twat owning pitbulls I really want one but they're illegal in the UK and as my dad's in the police it would not go down well but they are cool dogs, my mates got one it's great but they're vicious as fuck.

Here's my main man Tombstone, my favorite and best dog I've ever owned. A great hog catcher and was in some bad scrapes with those hairy hogs out in the bush If you've never seen a 50-60 pound bulldog catch a wild boar, then you are missing one of the most intense scenes you could imagine And it is legal, so don't get all worked up about it

Napolean, my housedog who my girlfriend spoils to death and feeds cookies and ice cream to He looks like a fur seal instead of a bulldog, but he is awesome and has thrown me some real good hog catchers Smartest dog I have ever owned, bar none. Anything with zippers on it, and it will be opened real quick. Anytime my girlfriend goes out of town, he gets upset and will open her suitcase and take her clothes out. She has to keep him out of the room now. And he also opened a camcorder case and took out my brand new camcorder and proceeded to take it apart piece by piece. I almost shot the damn dog for doing that
