I sent some Bad Rep. your way for calling the fight a robbery. A robbery is when theres a 'CLEAR' winner and the other guy wins.
Some of the rounds were close and they went back and forth. Pavlik closed out the fight in the late rounds. I had it 116-112.

I just watched the fight and anyone who calls this a robbery is a fucking idiot. Casamayor - Santa Cruz was a robbery, Forrest - Quartey was a robbery, this was a close, competitive fight; the right fighter was awarded the victory. I had it for Pavlik by 1 round, with 1 round scored even. I gave Taylor the benefit of the doubt in at least one round I would've otherwise scored an even round or for Pavlik. The scorecards were a bit off in my opinion, but Pavlik won the fight. Lampley encapsulated the entire fight with one comment in the 12th round, "Pavlik throws three punches, Taylor one."
Taylor almost completely redeemed himself in my eyes though, great fight on his part and he almost pulled it off. He's lucky there wasn't more time left in the 11th round after Pavlik landed that body shot though.
I really want to see Taylor - Kessler, Taylor - Wright II (I might be the only one), or Taylor - Miranda. Lucian Bute's manager (I think it was his manager) said they would be willing to fight JT next as well.

Although I had JT by a round (I was rooting for Jermaine) I thought he wasn't as busy as he should be and he was open to losing a fight he should have won as a result of his own actions, or lack thereof.

Jermaine gave a great account of himself, gave us a nice fight and no doubt there's more to see in the future.

What the heck are all you guys on about. It was a great fight. Both guys did great. All you Taylor fans should be proud that your man did'nt end up on his back like many predicted. He did a great job. Leave it at that.

To come here and say it was a robbory is to downgrade a great performance by both. IMO it was a close fight but Pavlik was the clear winner in the end. That right hook to the body in the 11th sealed the deal on the fight as Taylor had nothing left after that and Pavlik finished strong in the championship rounds.

Taylor just didn't do enough in some of those rounds and he lossed fair and square.

Never thought I'D say it either, but, it was either a DRAW (which i would've been satisfied with) or TAYLOR WON THAT FIGHT .... I think one judge had it 117-111, CRAZY..... Taylor CONSTANTLY landed harder shots and round 1 was debatable and could've gone either way.. I thought Taylor fought PERFECTLY in rounds 2 and 3, and did some real damage with punches in the middle of the fight.. It was obvious he faded in the last two rounds, but that did not stop him from landing a few punches..

I thought Pavlik GENERALLY (at times he did not) looked sloppy, even when he was throwing straight punches.. He landed VERY few right hand straights, which were the difference in the first fight..

JERMAIN constantly moved away from the ropes (very impressed) and did not show fatigue until late round 10, 11, 12.. I thought Jermain fought a perfect fight, with the exception of the the last 2 rounds, and a minute or two in the previous rounds where he had lull's in activity..

The ONLY way i could see this fight going to Pavlik is if it was a title fight.. because i do admit it was 'questionable' if Jermain hurt Kelly enough to take the TITLE from him, but this was a non-title fight, leaving all of the champion/contender bias out of it.. I REALLY felt Jermain did hurt Kelly constantly, and did enough to win this fight.

Jermain completely through Kelly out of what he was normally used to doing, and it seemed Kelly was desperate to find an answer to land big shots on Taylor.. At one point during the one minute between rounds, Jack said to Kelly, "Listen up" and Kelly replied, "I'm all ears".. I took this as Kelly saying, TELL ME what to do to win this fight, because i'm not connecting like i'm used to.. I really think that those words tell a lot from Kelly.. To his defense, he never 'looked' desperate, or fought desperate, but besides his JAB, and a few crosses here and there, he looked innefective.. His jab and short punches won him the fight, and were enough to swell up the eye of JT..

If u had it 117-111 then your hi along with that judge. This was a robbery.

How can Compubox be off ?? ok i will admit it isn't 100 percent accurate, but it isn't that far off, Pavlik outworked Taylor and won end of, he landed more power shots and overall punches, saying Compubox is off to prove a point Taylor won is silly logic.

I wonder how all the people who scored this fight for Taylor scored Taylor/Hopkins 1 for Hopkins. In that fight, it was JT that let his hands go while Hopkins landed cleaner more effective blows. IMHO, Hopkins did that to Taylor to a much larger degree than Taylor did it to Pavlik.

I saw Taylor with a giant black eye. That was not a mouse on his face it was a rat.

I will have to watch the fight again once I download and convert to DVD but it was a pretty boring fight. This was nothing more than a high payed sparring session for Kelly. I wonder how much Lou DiBully paid Pavlik not to destroy his boy and allow him to go the distance.

    Pavlik still wins.

Taylor will become marketable again but at what weight class?

Haha, I'm high? You can't even use you're correctly. But in all seriousness how does everyone thing 116-112 isn't out of the question but 117-111 is? It's only a round difference.

I agree that he landed the biggest punches, but Pavlik's pressure and punch output far outweighed Taylor's. He fought well though but when a guy lands 3 times as many punches as you it is a loss. The big punches have to be KO punches to win a fight like this. Props to both guys for a good fight.
