Witter is no.1 contender to Hatton's LW crown, Froch's yet to beat a top ten contender in SM, yet he's been 'calling out' Calzaghe for the last four years.

Super middleweight contender Carl Froch (22-0, 18 KOs) says he will produce a better performance than Joe Calzaghe did over the weekend in his WBC final eliminator against Denis Inkin at the Trent FM Nottingham Arena on May 10. The winner of Froch-Inkin will earn the right to be the next mandatory challenger for the WBC title currently held by Calzaghe, although Joe who has now arrived back in the UK, is giving few indications that he will ever defend that belt. "...it was a terrible performance from him and I thought Hopkins did enough on the night," said Froch. "Calzaghe was messy and inaccurate with his punches. Nothing really landed on Hopkins. I thought Calzaghe got beat."

    ---------------------------------------------

Hmmm... I tend to agree with him not landing much of anything but I still think Joe pulled it out. I mean, c'mon. Not landing anything of consiquence is still landing... Whether or not it's hurting him was not disputed.

I just thought this was interesting.
He's just as bad as Witter is with Hatton really.

I quite like Froch anyhow. He's entitled to his opinion.

    hahaha

Carl knows that his chances of getting a shot against JC are very slim and rightfully so at this momment. Carl needs big wins this year and against Inkin he can show that he will be earning these bigger named fighters, but at the end of the day if you were Carl and your whole life you wanted to fight the best why call him an arsehole? He wants to fight against JC because he is the best in his weight class and the only way he can do that is by drawing attention to his name and proving that he should be in the ring with him by getting big wins. This is why your going to see Dennis Inkin KTFO on the 10th of May and I actually cant wait to see it.

But as a really big fan I dont myself believe he deserves his shot, and I also think JC did win the fight against BHOP.

and VD he isnt a Fraud, I cant wait to have a sig bet with you about this, and you too mick

I agree with this, he's just not living up to the second part of the deal. I don't mind Froch reaally, it's actually quite entertaining to have some big mouths around, he also has an entertaining style. Wait and see how good he is, but Inkin will prove nothing, he's the ideal opponent for Froch, a padded record and a suspect chin.

And a good performance against Inkin should be just a smudge easier than against Hopkins.
Difference is - Froch has never been in Calzaghe's stratosphere.. whereas Witter was Hatton's fiercest Brit rival before fading a little but then returned as his fiercest world rival
    Good point

Witter is in a position to demand the fight . Froch isnt even on Calzaghes radar.

Carl is a good fighter from what Ive seen but he has to get a move on . Hes 30 and hasnt had a title shot yet and hasnt even got 1 lined up . Whats he playing at .

calzaghe landed more punches on bernard than anyother fighter ever has he landed more punches over all ok joe went down and lost the first three rounds but the n he one every round maybe a draw round bernard was walking backwards joe forced the fight bernard tried some of his so called skills (elbows heads grabbing and now his latest trick faking injuries ) which didnt work. bernard is a great fighter 4 is age as is joe but that night joe clearly won.........

Correction. Froch is yet to beat a top 25 fighter at 168.

Some people will say anything if they think it will get them a shot. Every day Joe C gets older and Froch is hoping to catch Joe C on the downslide. Kessler didn't. Same for B-HOP. And if Froch got a shot within the year, neither would he. But I believe Joe C's next fight will be against RJJ. That will probably be Joe C's last fight.
It feels good to be back home.
