So floyd is worth more than pac?
how?
remember celebrities like tiger woods, walking out before floyd vs baldomir even ended they we're so dissapointed?
In pac fights the house is always full and nobody leaves til a winner is anounced.
What is this purist of the sport excuse, boxing would be nearly dead without fighters like pac. Anybody that likes any style of boxing and follows it for years is a purist of the sport. Not just fans who likes hit and run defensive boxers. thats just an excuse to say boring boxers are cool
Floyd is not a huge draw, he was made to be like one but really not. Hatton and Oscar brought in all the fans, and reality is the ones floyd brought in are the few that wanted him knocked out.
I hope this isn't a thread made to wind up pacfans, its pretty lame.
I feel I am purist of the sport, I like every aspect of it, and I like what I saw him as much as pretty much anything I've seen from Floyd. His offensive amazingness and sound defense is comparable to watching Floyd's air tight defense and little used offense. Floyd was my favorite fighter, maybe ever, but he is as exciting as RJJ, Pacquaio, Cotto, etc. and I admit that. He is too much better than his opponents and he is too technically sound to slip up in any department of his game which makes it hard for there to be any drama in his fights.
I really agree , Amat , you are certainly right.............
Hey to see a boxer that had the challenge in moving up to another Div. and Win that is great to see that , and you ( JT ) said that Pacquiao doesnt worth it , why not ? , he always has been a competitive and exciting fighter ...................![]()
I don't see how anyone could say that you get more entertainment from a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight than from a Pacquiao fight. I think the people who are disappointed aren't the ones who shelled out $49.95 for this fight, but the ones who shelled out $59.95 for that Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Oscar de la Hoya fight.
I think you seriously have to be bitter to watch the display Pacquiao put on and say that wasn't worth your $49.95 but a Floyd fight is.
We get the fights for 39.95 !
I wonder why you pay more than us?
Oh I know, at 7 to 8 $ a gallon its our fuel excise where you collect from us.
Yes because I am a die hard Floyd fan so I feel obligated to do so and yeas I would complain about it
This was no different than Gatti vs Mayweather although they were both dominant Floyd put it on him more than Diaz got... but none the less gatti vs Mayweather wasnt a $49.95 fight if memory serves me correct. and it was the same danger level.. most said mayweather couldnt handle gatti's strength and power, and gatti couldnt get a glove on him and was eating 5-7 punch combos with regularity
that's it! you're just plainly a die hard floyd fan that's why you think he's worth more than pac, and you'd also feel like a moron(well maybe not so much since you're a die hard fan) if you bought a pbf fight with a david diazlike opponent. so what makes floyd different from pac for you to say that pac isn't a $49.95ppv fighter while pbf is?
I think the key is in what people are saying here. You need two to tango, I have no problem with a legitimate great matchup being on PPV but these one sided affairs are better left on regular HBO. The undercard was great though and my guess is we wouldn't have seen all the fights on regular HBO so no complaints there. I'm glad HBO has ditched the 2 fight undercard for the most part.
