Cotto lost becasue Margarito could hurt Cotto, but Cotto couldn't hurt Margartio.

Tell me another fighter aside Margarito of course who could have hold Cotto's assault for 11 rounds? I mean those where hard crisp punches in combinations and hard uppercuts Margaritos was getting hit with.

IMPRESSIVE!!!

It was unreal. Cotto would of knocked out any other fighter tonight. Those were some serious shots Cotto was landing.

Agree with this point also. Margarito walked right through Cottos best punches, but those punches didn't have nearly the steam on them as the fight wore on. Great chin and great work to the body.

margarito was the physically stronger fighter and it showed in the first round.

Hmm i dunno, everyone keeps saying he took loads of flush shuts but, i thought Cintron hit Tony with some bigger bombs aswell. Cintron is supposed to be a banger and Tony just walked through them. Same thing happened on Saturday.

The only real fighter i've ever seen hurt Antonio Margarito was Daniel Santos at 154...............

Despite the commentators praise -Cotto does not normally knock people out by head-shots - yes his punches were crisp and he threw combinations but HOW MANY BODY SHOTS DID HE THROW IN THE ENTIRE FIGHT? - watch the replay and count - he head-hunted the entire fight.
Did his team not watch tape ? I thought the only way he could win - was by slowing Margarito down via body attacks instead Cotto danced/ran himself into exhaustion and hardly took a forward step in the entire fight. Its sad to see a boxer overestimate his power, the reality is he was outclassed due to his poor preparation and probably over confidence. Just my opinion.....
Cotto lost because he got destroyed by the better man on the night. End of story
