If I was going to be run out of this sport except for training, Im getting run out for the best reasons. Ones I can tell my kid about when he's older. I stood up against the powers that be,yeah it right now looks like I lost, but maybe the next time, the next person wins. And if you dont at least try, youll never know.
So I can rest easily knowing I was one of the few people who viewed fighters as more then a place to put the cattle hook in this buis for a while. It sucks to feel compelled to quit, and Im obviously going to train, and obviously fill any obligations I have floating out there, Im a man of my word, and my word is bond.
But until other people in this buisness care more about the fighters then themselves, well, fuck it.
And to put on an addendium, Im in no kind of trouble or anything,I just re-read what I was about to post and it sounded like I was. Ive just really lost my stomach for the sleeze, I didnt have much to begin with, but I fooled myself in to thinking I could change it by sheer force of will. A fighter I respect to the utmost called today because I couldnt get what should have been an easy to book fight booked, the message I recieved, that fighters voice cracked. And it ripped my fucking guts out to hear it.

Lately trainermonkey has taken Bilbo's "Bitch the most" strap. The distinction may be that TM has something to bitch about. Maybe.

To explain, just about everyone in this sport, reads this board, even if they dont post.
Im heavily po'ed about something that happened behind the curtain that most boxing fans dont get to look behind that makes fights happen.
I also dont think it would be professional to name names about it on a message board, but its a convenient way of letting people know Im seriously bent, because I know they'll see it.And they all know my handle on this board.
So it ends up coming off as rather bizarre if you dont know the why's and wherefores

Why don't you say what happened without naming names.

A psudonym lick Dick H might be appropriate perhaps.

    Easy peasy
I had a major league fight lined up,full card
One person got involved, and the fact that I cant get that person on the phone makes me wonder why the feds are discussing something with him.
One got involved, and just couldnt find his ass with a map and directions.
And two other people are trying to freeze me out.

Problem is,I have the utmost respect for the fighters in question, and to see them treated this way, just to make a political point at me and a couple other people is criminal.
What most of the jackasses running this sport forget,is to be an athlete and know your clocks running, because you dont do anything forever.
Theyre willing to treat the game of setting up fights, like its a game, forgetting those athletes, who train their ass off, when half of the fuckers who run this sport have forgotten what their penis's looks like, have only got so many days to do what theyre going to do in this sport.

I can see what you mean. It is frustrating training you're ass off only to have politics limit you.

Even in my last gym where coach was always unsure of whether or not he wanted to continue but rather than making a decision and telling us and allowing us to continue our training else where he just left us all hanging.

We trained for no competition most of the nice, very little notice when he suddenly did decide to put someone in.

He didn't want to be there but told us if we left we would be traitors and other gyms wouldn't take us in because were his fighters etc.

Really he should have announced his decision like you and let us all continue rather than leaving us hanging which i guess is what these other guys are doing in the set up of this fight show.

A similar situation. A friend of mine was offered a job after finishing her PhD scholarship. She's still writing up and rather than her work in another area her supervisor told her to turn down the job and he'd pay her to work on things related to her project.

When she's done that and the time actually comes to give her some work he wanted to force her to finish writing before he'd give her anything.

She had bills to pay and forfieted a secure position just to be blackmailed by him!

Ironically the CEO knew about this but just let it go. No action was taken at all.

She's now working a couple of days a week in a low paid postion, not really scraping through.

People who try to put themselves in a position where you depend on them and then refuse to let you move forward are power tripping in a bad way!

I was really desperate to put this together, not for me,I dont need it. One of one my buddy's fighters was an almost sure bet ammie champ, but he needed the money too bad and had to go pro for the money. I had too highly respected(former champs) lined as well, who really dont need the cash, but wanted to prove the former, can become current champ really quickly(ask Foreman)
I waived off all promotion/magment/matchmaker fees to see it happen.
And politics completely fucked me on the whole deal.
So,yeah, Im pretty pissed off. It didnt cost me any money, but there are some things more important then money. And if people dont believe that, that's their problem.
