You think chocolate will move up in weight? I think he has the frame for it.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Decent list but seen as Manny and Hatton are fighting each other in May the loser would have to bounce back with 2 fighter against top class opposition to get back up to first or second on your list all in half a year.

    Mayweather
    Pacman
    JMM
    Williams
    Margarito
    Vasquez
    Marquez
    Berto
    Cotto
    Hatton

This list is assuming Calzaghe and B-Hop have both retired and a few honorable mentions would go to the likes of Kessler, Pavlik, Abraham, Juan Diaz and Chad Dawson.

    1 Floyd Mayweather
    2 Manny Pacquiao
    3 Juan Manuel Marquez
    4 Bernard Hopkins
    5 Paul Williams
    6 Antonio Margarito
    7 Ivan Calderon
    8 Chad Dawson
    9 Juan Manuel Lopez
    10 Rafael Marquez

Right ok let me explain this list a bit, Floyd Mayweather returns and gets the number 1 spot back again and beats Andre Berto this year. Manny Pacquiao/JMM both beat there upcoming opponents and stay where they are. Bernard Hopkins stays at 4 maybe has a fight this year and wins but either he stays at 4 can't see him losing or retiring just yet.

Joe Calzaghe retires and gets removed off the top 10 P4P list, Antonio Margarito beats Shane Mosley then Miguel Cotto again, Paul Williams beats Winky Wright then a title holder at Middleweight. But doesn't get the credit for beating Winky Wright because he is lackluster. Ivan Calderon defends his title twice this year but against no one well known.

Rafael Marquez gets knocked down a tad, because he is inactive. Chad Dawson defeats Antonio Tarver again then Glen Johnson again and moves up maybe 1 or 2 places. Juan Manuel Lopez defeats a stiff then beats Israel Vasquez in devastating fashion, he moves into the top 10 and Israel Vasquez gets dropped from the top 10 P4P.

Ice, retired or not floyd has nothing on pac. No way he moves back to top spot while pac is around. Remember Hatton is at his best at 140, floyd didn't want no part of him there but made him go up at 147 where we all saw already how horrible ricky was there. Pac is fighting hatton where hatton rules at 140. Pac beats hatton and already defeated oscar, floyds resume two top names then floyds resume is completely belittled by pacs.

Theres flipside to that you could also say Floyd Mayweather fought a much better version of ODLH. And at ODLH's more comfortable weight aswell, so that works both ways when was the last time ODLH fought at Welterweight ? Manny Pacquiao may have the best single wins but overall Floyd Mayweather has a better resume.

    Floyd Mayweather's best wins.

    Genaro Hernandez
    ODLH
    Zab Judah
    Ricky Hatton
    Angel Manfredy
    Diego Corrales
    JLC x2
    Arturo Gatti
    Jesus Chavez
    Carlos Baldomir

    Manny Pacquiao's best wins.

    Erik Morales x2
    MAB X2
    JMM
    ODLH
    Jorge Solis
    Oscar Larios
    Jorge Eliecer Julio
    David Diaz

But i do think Manny Pacquiao isn't that far off a few more big wins, and he could easily surpass Floyd Mayweather. But i still think he is somewhat behind, plus Floyd Mayweather also has the better achievements.

    Floyd Mayweather's best wins.

    Genaro Hernandez Good fighter
ODLH Good but past his best still a gutsy move by Floyd (but Manny shifted up big time in weight)
Zab Judah He was knocked out in two by a 140 great years ago. Floyd could not even KO him.
Ricky Hatton Hatton moved up to take the fight in a division he only ever did shit in
    Angel Manfredy Good fighter
Diego Corrales Good fighter, seemed off on the night
JLC x2 Lost the first one, second one was scored closer than the first lol, I think!
Arturo Gatti Not a great fighter but had great fights againsed proper brawlers he was just a name to enhance Floyds(arent they all)
Jesus Chavez Good fighter, good performance.
Carlos Baldomir The worst undisputed champion since....fuck knows

    Manny Pacquiao's best wins.

    Erik Morales x2
    MAB X2
    JMM
    ODLH
    Jorge Solis
    Oscar Larios
    Jorge Eliecer Julio

Just a couple of comments on some of Floyds fights.

    ok heres my explanations....

Pacquiao - loses to hatton at 140 in may but manages to hang on to the number 1 spot due to JCs retirement, a win back at 135 and the pure fact that american pundits dont really take to hatton oh to well.

Hatton - Victory over pacman has him flying up the rankings yet even another mandatory defence at 140 cant shift him into top spot.

Vazquez - clean year for izzy who manages to clean up at 122 before winning a world title at featherweight leading to many calling for him to shoot up furthermore and fight manny.

Williams - 2009 is the year for paul, rules at 154

Marquez - hard fought win against baby boy leads to JMM possibly moving up to 140 with hatton in sight and a world title at the weight by the end of the year.

Berto - Sure the guy is being protected but such a procarious talent deserves time to flourish into the world class talent he truly is. Berto-Cotto to be the fight of 2010

Cotto - vengenace for miguel who as soon as he polishes off jennings will redeem himself and win a hard fought stoppage against margarito.

Dawson - whoever said america isnt producing world class fighters anymore?? No calzaghe in the picture and probably no bhop or RJJ either. Few mandatory defences will eventually lead to dawson taking out either kessler or taylor.

Abraham - I rate AA, i really REALLY rate AA. But the fact is he`s being held back fighting in germany against 2nd/3rd tier opponents and wont get true recognition until he breaks the shackles.

Diaz - performance against JMM will only aid his status and hopefully get him a rematch with nate which he`ll win.

i think it will be game over for hatton when he fights manny pacquiao

right haven't given this much thought but here's a list off the top of my head

    1 PBF
    2 Pac
3 Juanma Lopez, yeah he's that good
    4 tall Paul Williams
5 A Abraham, beats Pav in a classic
6 Kessler, provided he fights someone
7 JMM, can see him losing a fight this year
8 Gamboa, still early days but he'd beat anyone in his divison
9 Vazquez, wins a couple but loses to Juanma
    10 Paul McCloskey, why not

Apart from the Hatton miscalculation it wasn't far off though. The reasoning was mostly wrong, but the top 10 is a pretty close guess.

Talk about digging one out from deep!
