Jennings (like Gary Lockett was) is a C borderline D level fighter. He will get destroyed in similar fashion.

Nah he's a better fighter than Lockett. Definately a C level fighter and has good boxing ability and finds his range well. He also works behind a decent jab.

However all that won't help, he will get destroyed in world class.

I think Jennings will put up a decent fight while it lasts, can't see anything but a Cotto win though.

How could anyone in their right mind even think Jennings has a chance. The man got beat easily by Young Mutley for fukk sake!
It wouldn have mattered if Margarito broke one of Cotto's arms off he'd still win this fight.

I don't agree i think Lockett is better than Jennings , but that doesn't matter as both are not even top euro class , neither could dominate Euro level for a prolonged period. Cotto tears him a new "A-HOLE"

I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto gets all cut and bloody, rocked, and even knocked down but seeing him lose against Jennings, probably not. Cotto has been in trouble with bunch of journeymen he has faced but he still comes back to win.
Not a victory I would be all excited about.

Just fuck off already. For Christsakes, we get it, you don't think Cotto's resume is impressive. We understand. No one is saying Jennings will be an impressive victory. Please, for the love of God, demonstrate that you are capable about talking about something else.

To misquote Don King "Jennings has Slim and No Chance and Slim just left town"

This fight is Pavlik vs Lockett 2 interms of ability and boxing class.

    Good Luck to Jennings though.

This fight is nothing more then the chance for the announcers to say "Miguel Cotto IS BACK!"
And it actually gives more credibility to his rematch vs Margarito and help sell the fight a bit more.
Imo he will never be mentally right until he beats Margarito, which he won't, he doesn't have the mentality that says "I will box 12 rounds and get a decision" he is the type of fighter who is patient for half a fight and then wants to knock someone out. And thats why he will never beat Margarito
That could be, that could be. But any boxer that goes to a rematch with the exact same strategy wouldn't really make sense. I expect Cotto to come to the rematch with a different fight plan and hope that works. I imagine Cotto will box more since he knows his punches have no effect on Margarito (or at least they didn't when they faced each other) and avoiding Margarito's power.
Jennings is no mug, he can box very well, he knows what he is up against and will give it his best shot, would be mad to tip him for a win but expect him to be trying, he knows that if he can impress he will be putting him self in the shop window for future fights, I expect Micheal to go out on his shield
I hope so too so the fight can look more competitive but I don't see any threat in his power.
