You're shaken.. If you're so confident in Burns, then back your shit up... That's all im saying.

BUrns is not that good.. He's an ordinary domestic level..

He's a good domestic fighter who had the night of his life vs Martinez. That's all.

He's the weakest of Britain's world champions.

Why didn't you fight Fana instead? You would've had a chance in that fight.

Yeah a agree m8 fana would have defo been the easier option. But this fight will give burns far more exposer.if he can get up to the level of performance he did against Martinez a fancy thim to ware this guy down with this volume of punches.

Burns VS the winner of Argenis Mendez/Juan Carlos Salgado would be competitive too and it would be for the IBF title.. Assuming that Salgado wins, a fight with Burns would be very competitive.. Now that's an evenly matched up fight..

Burns ain't that special, for the record I had Broner winning the Deleon fight 96-94

    Broner within four.
that's the thing, his win over Martinez is still better than ANYTHING Broner has done, IMO he was given a gift against De Leon, and blew out a never was against Litzau, he's seriously starting to get too much credit

Maybe so, but you could say the same about Burns & Martinez. DeLeon could be on par with both of if not better! I know Burns has been ever improving & his loses came earlier in his career but I just think this is a very even match up.

He's a little better than ordinary domestic level, but he's not top level by any stretch of the imagination. De Leon - a heavy-handed southpaw. Litzau/Burns - light-punching orthodox fighters. A win earns Broner a Bilbo strap too. This is good matchmaking by Al Haymon. For Burns, he'll get his highest pay day, 200,000 British Pounds.

This is the same Ricky Burns who was clearly beaten by Alex Arthur, no disrespect to Ricky Burns who has done well and better than expected. But i didn't really rate Roman Martinez that highly either, and his opposition since Roman Martinez has been very weak and handpicked. Because his team know he's weak belt holder and there making the most of it.

Burns' manager said this fight is OFF due to weight issues.. Sounds like an excuse to me but a wise move I guess.. Burns didnt have a snowball's chance in hell..

    Broner/Diego Magdaleno would be nice..

Moving upto lightweight apparently. He's gonna struggle there. Has no power in his punches and will facing tougher, bigger hitters. He would struggle to beat the majority of the top ten in the weight.

Still, it's all set for a Warren in house Mitchell/Burns WBO title within the next 18 months or so....

Exactly what I was thinking.. Hey, Mitchell/Burns is a great style matchup, no? It's always a joy to see Mitchell box.. He can box that ass off.. After he gets knocked out by Rios, he can always go back home and beat up on BUrns..
