he blasted the hell out of Margarito while on the backfoot, then after he had the first 7 in his pocket he stood and traded with the cheat further proving that Margarito isn't shit without his little wraps, there was no thud in his punches, they looked weak and slow, and unless he's Mayorga a shot to the chin doesn't fuck up your hand coordination, Margarito said the eye wasn't going to be an issue so don't get how anyone is gonna bitch and moan about it now, I said it once, I'll say it again, Margarito is 1-3 after Plastergate, FUCK MARGARITO!

Cotto did very well last night. I'm very happy for him.

His gameplan was very similar to the first fight for the most part but what he did do that i didn't think he was capable of doing was tieing Margarito up on the inside, staying away from the ropes and at times even pushing Margarito back.

That allowed him to control the pace of the fight better and against Margarito being able to control the pace is key. He also targeted Margarito's eye which was another smart move.

It was a good win.

I love when people say Cotto ran. Of course he is going to move and box as much as possible. He is a guy that should still be at 147. He doesn't have a chin. Why should he stand and trade with Margarito until late in a fight after he has softened him up. Last couple of rounds you could see cotto feeling like Margarito could hit him but it wasn't going to do serious damage.

Did Margarito use illegal wraps in his first fight? I don't know. I think he did, but no one other than his former trainer and Margarito will ever know. I do like what Manny Steward said after watching video of Margarito getting his hands taped last night (something along the lines of Margarito was doing like basically all fighters and watching his hands get wrapped intently). Steward was saying he still finds Margarito's explanation about not knowing what happened prior to the Mosley fight to not be credible.

Margarito has sounded like a guilty guy to me. he said he didn't know what was happening prior to the Mosley fight. That sounds like bullshit to me. You are there, your hands are getting wrapped, you are watching it be done.

And if Margarito were telling the truth and he was oblivious, then why does he insist that he didn't have any plaster for his fight with Cotto?

If you claim you didn't know and couldn't tell that someone put on illegal wraps in one fight then how would you have known and been able to tell about previous fights

Great for Cotto to get this one done...I am mexican boxing fan and believe me when I say I knew Margarito was cheating, as much as I like good bouts between Puerto Rico-Mexico boxers, fair is fair, Cotto seems to be a great representative for Puerto Rico, on the contrary Margarito is going from bad to disastrous as person, Cotto is right, he DOES NOT deserve any respect...as far as i'm concerned even Cintron can beat Margarito now, he cheated against him too....Please don't think all mexicans are biased or cheaters, real boxing fans know when somebody wins fairly or represents the sport with dignity...let me know your thoughts....arriba Puerto Rico

El you keep on bringing up that Margarito lost but are you forgetting who the man fought. I mean Mosley could of got the nod on Cotto it was a close fight and Pac kicked Cottos ass as well so i don't get it. Margarito lost the fight fair in square but i think it is safe to say they are both different shape then last time they fought. As for the plaster i have my doubts because i can't tell when in his career that he used because his results vary alot. I think now Cotto should go for Martinez and call it a day after that.

are you kidding me? Margarito first of all fought Mosley a full yr after he fought and lost to Cotto and after Mosley's lackluster performance to Mayorga, Cotto won the fight clearly, don't confuse a competitive fight with a toss up, he hasn't had ANY REAL POWER SINCE BEING FOUND OUT, I'm willing to bet anyone on this forum that the Cotto that fought Saturday night would give Pacquiao all he could handle compared to the one who took him on 2 yrs ago, he's in a good place mentally right now and is surrounded by a good team, something he didn't have back then, don't get how anyone can try and spin it around and try to make Margarito the victim here haha

How is Cotto any better if he beat a bum in Margarito who got his ass kicked before hand. I dont get your logic just seem to have Cottos nuts in your mouth. As for the Mosley fight it should of been a draw and was very close if your not bias towards it. I am not even Marg fan but by your logic how can Cotto be any better as a fighter if he only beat a bum who got his ass kick worse few fights before.
