    A little bit overrated?

Ward wouldn't beat Jermain taylor. Taylor was giving Forch a much bigger beating than ward was, he just tired, so credit for Ward not tiring as much (he was dipping) but been rumours for years Taylor has something wrong with him that causes him to tire.

Considering the massive speed advantage Ward had over Froch, I thought that was a very good performances, nothing special.

Special I think what Roy did to Lights out, what Calzaghe did to Lacey, What Maywather did to Corrales.

No one was really giving Froch much more than a punchers chance in the fight going into it. Ward is a damn good fighter but that wasn't a superstar performance or a p4p top 10, I really doubt he would be Ol' bad intentions, he won't have the power to get a lucky late punch off to scrape a win.

I'm not a big fan of Ward's style but if he were to beat Bute he will have had a very good 3 year run.

There's nothing overrated about wards performance, it was fully clinical and he deserves to claim the number one spot. Nobody has beaten Froch convincgly and I seriously think Ward will continue winning the big fights. Reading Glen McCrory's comments on sky sports you really do have to agree with what he is saying about how good actually Ward was is and his adivce to Khan about how well he handled Froch, a truely professional and dominant performance, he talked about Khan wanting to prove about his chin and showboating and how it was unnecessary at the world level, you do have to agree with what he says and Khan has proven his chin, heneeds to take a leaf out of Wards book and what he did on the night. the peformance that he did last night was sensational and he really proved he was the best in the weight last night. I'm looking forward to seeing ward, he really is good.

Ward may be P4P #1 when Pac and Floyd retire. He's a huge talent imo

Ward is very good, and great at executing his gameplan. He's fast, smart in there, good defensively and has a good jab.

He's also a headbutter and one of the dirtiest fighters in boxing.

And he doesn't have one punch power, and probably never will.

That adds up to him not being all that exciting, and a bit of a spoiler in the same vain as Winky Wright.

To me that adds up (and looks like) a fighter in the same vein as Hopkins, not Wright. (Did you really think Wright was dirty? He also didn't fight inside.)

Ward vs froch was closer than people thought, I mean people say froch got dominated but it was froch that was landing body shots at will he just got caught with too many counters but ward was awful to watch but beating froch has made him a great.

If anything Ward is under rated!!! He's the Super Six Winner and the olympic gold medal winner!!! He's humble and maybe a bit boring and no matter how it went down HE BEAT FROCH.

Ward is a class act!that's the first time av seen froch seriously struggle.ward has everything in the build up to the fight it wos made out froch would b so much stronger a bully ward about but it turned out to b the complete opposite and i think that's wot really threw Carl.alot ov guys on here rate Sergio Martinez in there top 3 p4p in my opinion ward is far superior and go as far to say ad only hav him behind mayweather

Ward is good at what he does but not interesting to watch. He mauls and does his work in spurts while trying to grab or hold.

I used to say it about Froch before hegot my resepect but he looked like all the things I used to moan about him. Loading up on wide slow shots, being left looking at thin air and thinking he can get away with the low left and high shoulder.

Im not sure it would have won him the fit but I think jad he just worked like Calzaghe then the fight would have been alot closer. Maybe he really believes his own talk about his power?

Had that been the Calzaghe that fought Kessler instead of Froch, Ward would not have been allowed to hold so easy. A few of Frochs jabs got smack right in Wards face so its not like hes unhitable either. Its such a shame this tournament wasnt around a few years ago while Calzaghe was active!

Yeah so we could see him didge some more prime fighters and hear his excuses as to why he can't participate. Maybe because he has a lucrative bout with Sven Ottke or something of the sort. God that guy was such a waste of fucking talent.

I agree with the rest of your post though

Hulk is spot on. Ward isn't over rated but I doubt he'll become a star..He executes perfectly but it isn't always pretty and casual fans won't appreciate the intelligent boxing tricks he throws in. Also not a K.O puncher. Floyd and Pacquiao are more exciting to the casual fan and hit harder. Shame really because Ward looks very hard to beat
