Maybe Sulaiman wasnt translated correctly. It happens often.
We need another spanish speaking person to hear him out.

Gotta love Sulaimon, just incase anyone ever forgets what a complete BOOB that guy is, he is always quick to refresh your memory.
Beating a lady is not a major sin? I guess in the boxing world it isn't. Hell, all the best have done it at one point or another.
Does it matter if Floyd has a title. Its not going to stop him being the best fighter out there.
I thought the worst thing Floyd done was sucker punch Orftiz but this is discusting. He is a very powerful dangerous boxer who would not have any problems beating up the strongest man out there. Why the hell did he feel the need to do that to his wife.
I have lost any little respect for the guy I had. I hope prison teaches him a lesson.
I can only hope his daughters keep up on his shitty business dealings and interviews, and that the future son in laws do not.
Dumbass.
This guy is to boxing what Sebb Blatter is to football (soccer)
The real reason i believe Suliman has said what he did was so that Mayweather stays the WBC champ and that Suliman make plenty of $$$$ from sanctioning fees
Sulaiman is the same as Blatter, way too old should have retired years ago and lost touch with reality.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Floyd must have been charged with a misdemeanor, that would not make you a convicted felon, what is written below is pasted from the Nevada law, we don't know if Floyd punched, slapped or pushed her and took the cell phones. We do know Floyd is a professional boxer, so his hands can be considered a weapon and I would bet that's how the Nevada prosecutor presented the case which would make it a felony and the reason Floyd took the plea deal.
I don't believe he beat her up, (meaning punched her ) but we know Floyds rants so he probably pushed and or smacked her along with a long and loud rant which scared her and the kids. But who knows what really happened except the people directly involved.
Misdemeanor or felony
Generally, if the battery upon you did not involve a weapon (such as a knife or gun) or your injuries did not result in permanent physical damage to you, then the crime against you is classified as a misdemeanor. The maximum possible penalty for a misdemeanor is $1,000.00 fine and/or 180 days in jail.
Misdemeanors that occur within the city of Las Vegas are prosecuted by the City Attorney’s Office.
Batteries with weapons or serious injury are felonies. The Clark County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutes all felony cases and any misdemeanor cases that occur outside of the cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and Mesquite.

I don't see the big deal to be honest. I'm guessing he wasn't saying that wife beating is not a major sin in general, but rather that what Floyd did was not such a big deal.
I tend to agree. Where are the Rihanna type photo's of her beaten and bloody face? All he did was push her and break a phone I think, probably lots of people on here have done as much.
I have only ever pushed back in the face of assault myself and I am talking raining blows. If Floyd had pushed her first and broke the phone then he was totally in the wrong and that seems to have been the case.
You can't go exerting your own physical force upon others. It is wrong. Women get a free pass on this issue IMO as men never report women who attack them. It is something I feel strongly about actually, but to go to prison is a bit much. However, Floyd is young and black and unfortunately the legal system does overwhelmingly dish out silly punishments for being so.
I don't think he deserves to be in jail, Sulaiman does though as he has a long history of corruption. I maintain the pitchfork argument.
And yes, there was the rice cooker, but that was never along with pushing and shoving on my part. I just thought I would add that before my detractors all started chiming in with their usual attacks.
Boxing forums are tough sometimes.
What that article fails to mention is the fact that prior to that interview Sulaiman had been dragged round a shopping centre for 8 hours, by his wife.
