Not quite a prediction is it.

Moot point though, its about the boxing public as a whole, not just what one fan predicted.
    Oh dear! Read it again!

I said I voted in the poll for Froch to win by KO

In fact Froch could have got a stoppage if hed fought like did against Bute.

Abraham may win this title fight he has coming up because the opponent has been stopped before but even if he does, I can see the only big name super middle he will want to defend against being Bute. Also, Abraham will be the only super middle Bute will want, both will look at each other as big name fodder.
    hindsight is a beautiful thing

how did you see the froch bute fight going before the fight?
This is what I said in the poll thread and I also picked Froch by KO in the poll

He needs to think like Calzaghe here and throw lots of sharp shots, stuff that will either actually land or at least keep Bute thinking. If he just waits for the single jabs or or uppercuts, he will give Zbute plenty of time to land first. He needs to pressure Bute and make him feel uncomfortable and make him work and tire. Froch is used toworking hard late wheras Bute isnt.
if you picked froch against both AA and bute then you are one of only a few

if you believed froch would dominate AA as he did and KO bute as "easily" as he did then you are one of a very small minority

its quite obvious from the threads where both fights were discussed prior to them happenning that froch was a significant underdog in both fights

a lot of people had bute as the number 1 SMW, a little less so after ward v froch but before people thought he had the beating of the lot

i think one point that the op is making is that froch has won 3 world titles and prior to two of the fights he was a massive underdog which makes it an even better achievement

i dont remember anyone being in a situation like that and overcomming the odds like that before
Take a look at what I wrote in here

Although Dirrell was beating Abraham fairly comfortably I do think Froch will be too much for Abraham.

Abraham cant handle the strength of the supermiddles and I reckon Froch will hurt him. Dirrell put Abraham down and wasted the opportunity. As shite as Froch is, when (not if) he hurts Abraham, he will go for the kill and as clumsy as it may be, it will be the most pressure that Abraham has ever had to deal with.

Abraham stalks opponents but that will suit Froch, he will get plenty of time to try those swinging punches while Abraham gets pushed backwards with his gloves covering his face

    Abraham gets stopped late.

I think both fighters can hurt the other and it'll all come down to who fights the smarter fight.
I dont see this little power house that everyone else does in Abraham

I dont think he can deal with thye strength of the super middles. He was getting handled and pushed around quite easy by Dirrell and Andre is hardly a rough fighter.

The reason Abraham stops people late is because he conserves so much energy doing absolutely fuuck all during the rest of the fight. Froch can actually punch at this weight and I reckon is a bigger puncher than Dirrell who dropped Abraham but Froch will try to stop him where Andre didnt.

Abraham is strong but strong for a middleweight, he doesnt have the same advantage fighting genuine top super middles.
if you predicted the 2 fights to go as they did then congratulations to you

The point is that the vast majority of people didnt, someone said the ring mag experts had voted a bute win 12 nil or something like that

so it isnt a thread about gloating who predicted what, its a thread about froch overcomming the odds with his (what is seen as) limited style

has it been done before that a fighter not only consistantly fights the level of opposition that froch does but defies the thoughts of so many experts to become a three time world champion?

I cant remember either bit (the steak of fights and the underdog world title wins) happening before, never mind both by the same fighter at the same time

Frochs world title performances were amazing, my favourite one does have to be the Bute one because I personally thought Bute would have been more of a challenge. I did not expect Froch to be able to steamroll Bute and it was so good to see it really does prove to a lot of people who doubted Froch after the Ward loss that he really is a great champion.

I really do want to see him fight Kessler next though, as I have said before Dirrell doesn't deserve shit after his negativity. Froch - Kessler 2 would be a war and I think Froch has it in him to win it if it's in the Uk.

At 175, Froch did promise Pascal a rematch down the line and If he does the business against Cloud there's always that option? Froch might also want to face the winner of Dawson-Ward. I don't know how Froch would shape up in a rematch for Ward, personally I think Ward is too good of a boxer for Froch as he proved in the first fight, but after the Bute performance if Froch makes adjustmants and starts fast like he did against Bute, you never know how the rematch could go?

Froch is in fantastic shape though and whatever fight comes his way we all know he will be up for it and he will bring what the fans want to see. I can't wait for his next fight !!

Said it before but Froch has won me over. It's rare I change my mind about a fighter but this dude keeps pulling rabbits out the hat as well as fighting the best. A credit to the sport and our U.K fighters.
