Maidana vs. Mayorga

I don't really see the point, Maidana's only chance would be in the event Mayorga has nothing left whatsoever. What weight would they meet at anyways, Maidana is way to small to move up to 154 and its no sure thing Mayorga could even make that.

I'd like to see Maidana go back down to 140 and fight Matthyse or even Zab Judah, those would be really fun fights. Mayorga would stand a decent chance against Bundrage if he continues fighting, that would probably be easy to put together.

Mayorga just fought Cotto at 154 not that long ago so I don't know where all this fear of him not being able to make 154 is coming from.

I agree Maidana is pretty small to face Mayorga, but I still think it would be a tear up.

And yes I would love to see Mayorga vs. Bundrage or Kirkland vs. Bundrage or Kirkland vs. Mayorga.

The Bundrage vs. Mayorga bout was rumored to be in the works a year ago but that fell thru. Same with Mayorga vs. Rubio at 160.

Mayorga has piss poor management and discipline too.

I liked Mayorga a lot to, just not sure how many more good fights he can be in honestly. There aren't a whole lot of guys he'd match up with around the weight. Bundrage is really crude and crap to watch, I think Mayorga may still have it in him to beat him and that gives him a belt.

Mayorga in shape could very well beat Bundrage at his own game, but I doubt Don King will give him the chance.

Its a shame Mayorga can't go out with a good win then retire. A belt would be nice too.

It's kind of to bad Spinks didn't pull off the win against Bundrage the other night, Mayorga could've gotten his revenge on him after all these years. I know you felt he was robbed in the first fight, I didn't, but never liked Spinks and it would've been all Mayorga if they had met any time after Judah beat Spinks I figure.

IMO Spinks was awarded gift decisions against Mayorga, Judah and Roman Karmazin. And they almost gave it to him against Taylor for doing nothing but running. I don't like him either, but he is a tough guy and a good boxer. Its a shame he looks to be about shot now.

I think a Mayorga vs. Spinks fight could still take place as both men are coming off of losses.
