yeah that is a tricky one mate, I know some emo bashers who where out on a nights bashing and mistakenly kicked the shit of a funeral party

shouldn't complain lyle, it's the same law that would protect you when you sport your neckerchief, smoking jacket and monocle.

I remember back when there was 1 set of laws. I'm a white heterosexual male who is a Christian....anyone who attacks me won't be charged with a hate crime

Where and when exactly do you think it was Lyle, that you changed over from the guy with a set of conservative beliefs, to a walking talkin typin caricature of yourself? I mean, it definitely happened. Just wondering where and why.

Is this law not odd in the slightest way to you? Does it not display the idiotic nature of hate crime legislation? Assault is assault, murder is murder the WHY of crime is not relevant! If I kill an emo because I hate them vs if I kill an emo just because I don't care for this one kid who happens to be emo the end result is the same the emo is dead, what's hate crime legislation going to do then? Kill me twice? Incarcerate me for more than my life?

When did everyone lose their common sense?

I've never really understood why assault, murder or rape were some how worse or deserved more punishment b/c of the who the victim was. Seems like laws put in place to create divisiveness and pander for votes.

Not understanding hate speech and projecting yourself as the constant victim. While simultaneously starting race bait threads to show how hard done by you are., that is the joke Lyle. I'm sure somewhere in there you feel you are making a point, but mostly to yourself and a lowest common denominator of a potential real cause. It's actually hilarious. Not suggesting you stop, it isn't like I hang on every word you say or anything. And find it rather amusing.

Hate speech, who has said anything about that?

What's wrong with being a victim? It's a popular thing these days is it not? Are you saying I can't be a victim? That should be a hate crime! You're discriminating against me due to my race and I am highly offended by that!

Race bait threads such as what saying there were Blacks who fought for the Confederacy? How does that "bait" anyone...unless they disagree with history and feel "hard done" by what actually happened. Did I say that the slaves in the South had a great fucking time being slaves? NO! Did I say that there was 0 racism in the South? NO! So once again where was I wrong in posting what I did? Now the responses I got didn't even ask "Why wasn't I taught this?" or anything like that the responses were more unsavory broad sweeping generalizations about the South, it's culture, and history.

Yes, it IS a joke this law is a joke, "hate crime" legistlation in general is a joke because if I kill someone who is black regardless of motive I should be punished the same as if I kill someone who is white or hispanic or asian or what have you, to have the law read otherwise makes the lives of certain people worth harsher or more leniant punishment and that my friend is INEQUALITY and I for one thought inequality is bad and that you should treat everyone the same regardless of skin color, sexual preference, religion, etc....but perhaps you could explain why I'm wrong about that?

You might read threads I make as if I am trying to rile people up or cause some kind of flame war, but all I wish to do is inform people and have people take some time and look at some things from a different perspective, sure I can be short with my patience (as can anyone) and I can be a bit heavy handed in my responses but some posters apparently need that in order to have a point clearly made. With this thread all I'm trying to do is say that #1 "Hate crime" legislation is idiotic murder is murder, assault is assault, robbery is robbery, there don't need to be extra laws to make the penalty worse if someone does one of those things to a person of a different race, gender, creed, ethnicity, religion, or whatever because we're all people and we should all be treated as equals and #2 Emos, goths, punks...these are CHOICES people make what is next on the "hate crime" legislation agenda? Are we going to make laws that protect people who have had plastic surgery? People who are lactose intolerant? People who like cats better than dogs? Where is the line drawn man? It's an honest and simple question, I would love for someone to use some common sense and reason and say "You know what Lyle, yeah these laws don't really make any fucking sense a person is a person and everyone is equal", what a fucking novel idea.

Perhaps my fellow posters aren't on the same wavelength as I am or there is a problem with them not fully recognizing the tone of what I write. I'm not saying the death of the emo/punk/goth girl wasn't a tragic event, it was HORRIBLE for that to happen, and hell maybe England does have a problem with people targeting goth/emo/punk people, but the result is still the same 1 HUMAN dead, not 1 Caucasian, Femal, Middle Class, Heterosexual, Agnostic or Athiest, Emo, Dyed Hair, Pierced, etc etc however many descriptive terms you wish to use HUMAN dead...all that shit is erroneous 1 person, 1 life, that's all anyone needs to know under the law. If the people are found guilty they should be guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison or death and other than that everything else is just a moot point.

You could use a bit of what we offer in Cancommieland, Lyle. Which is a dose of lightening the fuck up and having a laugh every now and again, even at yourself. It's good for the spirits.
