I for one think he shouldn't quit.

He says he likes to get hit. I like to see him get hit.
Win-win situation, as far as I'm concerned.

And do what? Boxing is all he knows and now that he's tasted some money and fame, there is no way he would last working at El Pollo Locos drive through from 9 to 5.. he needs boxing to maintain an extravagant lifestyle.. dont you guys know how he speaks? I dont think he graduated middle school... if he gives up boxing, knowing him, he would probably fall into a life of petty crime..

Rios must fight on.. provodnikov just said the other day that rios fight at 147 is a possibility..

not everybody is the same. some people have thick skulls and can take punishment and end up being fine. i think that he needs boxing. whether or not it shortens his life, at least it will be a good one rather than what he would be doing or not be doing if he quit.

I actually have gills and live underwater, so cheer up.
*nah man, u don't say sht like that... I don't wish him a vegetable..and neither do u.. so why say it? U guys r a badass wealth of knowledge on some of this stuff... I'm in th medical field and have literally taken care of people in that state... it's just not funny or amusing.

*back to boxing... I was told that Rios has always sounded like that, that he isn't punchy, like he sounds. That's just what I heard. Hey, Pac said he was hurt in the 5th...

*man, ur right...isn't that something. I used to work at psych ward, and every now and again, u have to "rock and roll" with an out of control patient... there was this one cat, regular size, but with hands like mittens. Kool ass muthfker, too. I rememeber shaking hands with him and noticing his fingers were like sausages... man, that dude had KO power.

Where are you coming from on this? Are you a big fan of Rios and are trying to look out for his safety? He stopped Antillon badly and he stopped Alvarado in their first fight. Why should he quit if he has the opportunity to make a lot of money in boxing? He also has wins at close to the top level in the sport. There are other big money fights out there for him too. A grudge match with Alvarado. How about a fight with Brooks? Provo?

Not bothered about what money he makes i just feel concerned that he has already been in the game too long.

We all know they know the dangers of boxing and its a contact sport etc but i dont know if its the damage hes taking or the fact hes stupid or a combination of both.

Either way, he needs to get himself looked as the slurring and the body language isnt healthy.

Rios will have a short career but I hope he makes some good money and retires in good health.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Me too, I like the gritty way he fights. Hope they all make some good money before they retire.

No he is not. He's not the most skilled fighter. But he'll keep coming forward. There's no Cotto in him. He won't spend the last 5 rounds backing up, praying his corner throws in the towel before quitting.

There was definite shaking in one of his interviews, the one where they zoomed up onto his forehead but maybe it was the nerves he was getting, stage fright nerves.
