Broner spent his post fight interviewstrying to get nightclub owners to pay him to make appearances in their clubs. He's not going to take boxing anymore seriously than he was before he lost to Maidana. I think Maidanan beats him again but if Broner is less casual and avoids any knockdowns he stands to get a gift decision in a fight he probably only wins five rounds in max.
2 of the 4 highest rated fights last year had Broner as the A side. Don't be confused, he is most certainly in the power position. He can offer more money than anyone short of Floyd for Maidana. But this definitely could be a play. Broner can't continue his act if he runs away to a different weight class. But if Maidana "refused" the fight Broner is free to do whatever. And Maidana still has many options. This could just be a work. We'll know soon enough
I say go for it and put it on the Mayweather ppv in May and if Maidana beats him again it will pave the way for Mayweather vs Maidana in September.

Do people actually want to see a one sided beatdown in Floyd-maidana? Such a weak fight..

Maidana makess ton of money in the rematch and is the best option for him as he wont be fighting mayweather.
Great to see broner wanting to avenge his loss and he will become a far better fighter after this.
He needs to get busy early and work on that defense big time.
He knows 147 is where its all at and thats the divison he wants to stay in.

AB=Another Beating
If isnt that Broner is calling the shots for this fight....the contract dictated a rematch clause that he ia exercising
I also think that Floyd wanted him to exercise it so the Maidana talk would stop and pave the way to fight glass jaw kahn.
I apologize if it's already been mentioned in this thread but.....
The belt they fought for does not enforce immediate rematches, in contract or not. Maidana can still choose to fight someone else if he wishes without being stripped. It's probably irrelevant I just wanted the board to know.
I'd like to see him work on his craft first but I appreciate his mentality. He's definitely a fighter.
I didn't pick first fight but I'll take Broner in the rematch. He has more ways to adjust.
Also, Broner may have had a rematch clause in the contract- as he was the champ. So, he may have decided to exercise that clause. It did go the distance...

Horrible choice, but I hate him so I'm glad he made it.
Where is his team? He's already a 3 weight world champion, he can afford that loss because he's so young, and his team should be telling him that.
Maidana beat him, and it didn't seen that difficult, why risk another loss which will really drop his value in terms of being a big draw?
I'm surprised his promoters are allowing it so quick.
