Ukraine probably splits up. Russia will grab the eastern part and the western part will have a pro-Euopean government. Expect to see staged demonstrations in eastern cities over the next few weeks. A bunch of people waving Russian flags in the main square and asking Putin to send troops to protect them from the western criminals.

Probably a bit of military fisticuffs between Russian and Ukrainian forces but it shouldn't escalate too much. The west definitely won't get involved militarily. Some fairly ineffective sanctions which will be quietly dropped in return for Russian support over other issues a few years down the line when everybodys' forgotten about the Ukraine.

Thats good, its about as optimistic as possible there.

No, I have strong views, stronger than many and what that means is that some of them are on the left and some on the right. Heck take gun law, that is something I am now on your side over. I'm quite libertarian, but I do have my old fashioned thing for dedristributed taxes and education for all. An equal start for all and if you waste it, then tough cookies. China is just buying Taiwan bit by bit anyway. There was one flight a week from Beijing to Taiwan a decade ago and now there are a couple of dozen a day full of businessmen basically integrating Taiwan to China. Plus 99% of Taiwanese are ethnically Han Chinese anyway. The Chinese will just wait until their economic power increases compared to the US that the US won't do anything.
