I stayed up and watched the fight. Head hurts. I thought Jack won by 2 rounds and was the better fighter. Degale does not want a rematch, that was too hard for him. Smith would be easier.

This was much better than Ward vs kovalev and both warriors showed everything tonight.

I wanted degale to win and had him winning the fight earlier on but jack landed the cleaner punches and the bodywork was spot on.

Possibly a draw going into the last round but after the knockdown it was jacks fight and he should have won.

Degale has the movement and footwork, but just like with dirrell he gets sloppy and jack was blocking far more shots than degale.

Jack was solid tonight but does he beat an Andre Ward..No way.

The best fighter in the world is the winner of Ward vs Kovalev 2..

Eubank Jnr needs to step up, stop fucking about and start mixing with these guys, we soon see if he carries true KO power at SMW and if he does i think he can mix it with any of these lot
His Chin looks solid so far and his work rate is insane.

In Hindsight Degale looked tired/drained of energy which is what Eddie Hearn said straight after the fight, he's such a naturally slick, fast and gifted fighter when he actually boxes, i'd say 60% of his punches between 4-11 rounds just hit Jack on the gloves or arms.
Frustrates me when he kind of gets sucked into a tear up after a good 2-3 opening rounds where it's clear if he just kept it up he'd win by a landslide.
He seems to love doing the Ali moves... back against the ropes taking a shitload of head shots trying to prove he's the tougher fighter.
Can't knock his heart and it's brilliant to watch him in a fight like that but you just know he's got the tools to make it so much easier for himself.

That fight for sure deserves a

The whole Mayweather promotions night of boxing deserves a

But the main even was an immense fight.

De-Gale got way to much credit for those slaps to Jacks gloves and arms. Somewhere Joe Calslappy is smiling

He definitely looked the worse for wear after the fight. He talks like a fruit-loop at the best of times, But with tooth missing at the end DeGale was speaking like he was halfway up queer street (lol)

De-Gale could have fight with his Grandmother and at the end he’d still look like he just came out surgery from a facelift. He marks up real easy. But people see a missing tooth and blood and their brains are conditioned to think that person lost.

Jack was the better more consistent fighter. De-Gale the more flashy. Those type of fighters are hard to beat on points. Mayweather was angry about the decision, but that is how he won his close decision fights every time, on flashy noticeable punches.

So he needs to understand why DeGale got the better side of the judges. But he is right. Jack won this, not by much, but he won. But having said that I'm not mad at the scores. No way on earth was it a robbery. Nobody should have to much of an issue with the draw.

This fight was great because they are evenly matched but in the cold light of day neither are super elite IMO. If Ward comes back down he’ll kick these two out of the sport and I think Callum Smith beats both of them.

What said it all to me is DeGale looked satisfied with the draw. Jack didn't. But neither really deserved to be a loser tonight.

On a side note, the ref (Arthur Mercante Jnr) took a flush right hook to the eye from Jack like a fucking boss. Big respect.

But what a special special night. Just had the feel of one of them back in the day special nights of boxing for me. Watch out for that Gervonte Davis, big things are gonna happen for him.

    Amazing start to 2017.

Just saw Floyd's post fight comments, what a massive wanker (yeah, I know, nothing new). He "promoted" a top fight then ruins it by crying about a robbery and bizarrely moaning about it being "bad for boxing."

If forced to pick a winner I'd go for Jack. His more consistent solidness throughout looked a little superior to DeGale's dazzling cameos. However, it was a good/fair draw and most importantly a good/quality punch-up.

Great beard shown by the ref.
