Floyds defense is back to how it was AND he is at the correct weight.

Its easy to say robert should have done this or that but when your getting countered all night and nearly knocked out in the 8th round you can get reluctant.

Floyd ducked and weaved all over the place and showed he can beat southpaws just as easy.

    September should be even better.
Floyd never had Guerrero in any danger of being stopped, he dominated and IMO won 9 to 3 but lets not get carried away now, he never stunned, rocked, or had Guerrero remotely hurt much less close to being stopped

that being said, IMO Floyd even at 36 walks right through Broner, would love the build up to that fight also, Floyd would rip him a new ass for ripping off his gimmick
    Yes he did.

He hurt him in the 8th round.
That was fairly obvious even with floyds delicate hands.
Buzzing a guy is much different from 'having him nearly knocked out'. He was landing head snapping rights but Guerrero never looked like he was about to fold up and take ten.

Floyds delicate hands and default line at the end of a large amount of his fights has never really held water with me. I know his problems but you cannot go on constantly about the least damage sees you last longer, being a defensive mind etc and then turn around with 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' gone for a ko once you hear some boos and how one sided a fight is. Not to mention it didn't stop him from shaking hands with at least 15 fans in the crowd afterwards?! Not only is it not needed by one regarded as the best fighter in the sport, its condescending as shit to a guy who by no means disgraced himself and wasn't exactly blown out of the water.
I don't think Guerrero has a thing to be ashamed of. The same thing happened to him that happens to everyone who Floyd fights, he lost.
Like you said, he was never in serious trouble and didn't get blown out of the water.
Nobody was surprised when Floyd started controlling the fight and nobody was surprised that he won handily.

Guerrero was hugely disappointing and his strategy, if you can call it that, was all wrong. He should have tried to do what he did to Bert, that was his only chance.

Berto is a completely different fighter.

Berto is not a completely different fighter, he has fast hands and needs space to box which Guerrero effectively did against Berto but could do nothing like that against Floyd. If the Guerrero fought as he did against Floyd he would have lost to Berto too.

It was the first time berto tried using that shoulder roll/philly style/mayweather defense and it never worked for him.
Robert was flustered by floyds counters and timing which berto never had.
Robert had all the tools to press floyd like he did berto but mentally he was hesitant because of floyds superior movement and defensive skills.
Robert knows it. It was all over his face in the post interview.

Robert landed 38% of his total punches against berto...and 19% against floyd.

His output was nulified against floyd.

It's a hell of a thing to stop your opponent from throwing punches just by very minute movements, thats not even counting Floyds lead straights.

If only I could blow up Rigo to 147 to fight Floyd or even Ward from 168...That would be a boxing treat for me.
