There are a lot of interesting names on this board. This is just a thread for you guys to explain the reasons behind your screen name.
I'll start
ono
Well i played for a 5 a side football team and we decided to buy shirts and print our names on the back. My name is actually Jonny so i went to have that printed on the back of my shirt. However the shop didn't have any letter 'Y's so i opted for Jono instead. After the match i washed my shirt and the J fell off which left the name 'ono' and it stuck from there on....
fascinating i know![]()

My name derives from the fact that I'm a Druid and that apparently is my chosen name .

I used to get called Jim loads when i was a kid/teenybopper.
A Jim just basically what your hair looks like when its curly and you cant afford a hair cut more than once every few months
So yeah 'Jim' by nature became Jim by name
It got better though. One day, at my old youth club. One lad who was pretty fresh off the boat couldn't understand why some people were calling me 'Jim'. He kept askin and askin and askin till some one shouted across the room.
He's real name's Jimafee.
The whole room was in fits. The name stuck. Great!
Anyway, the youthclub bit is relevant cause at the time i was right into dj-ing and i was looking for an alias anyway but intime i managed to convince peeps that Jimboogie (Bougy... Not Boooooogey) had a better ring to it.
10 years on or so, its practically my name (outside of work of course)

Being his alias is "The Pride of Providence" That was my name initially(I lived in Providence)
On myspace I'm just "The Pride"
I have since moved to Boston(Go Patties)

This is truly sad, but when I was about 15, I was a massive Limp Bizkit fan. When I went to setup a username on AOL instant messenger, I tried to have the name Bizkit Fan...but it was taken. Rather than thinking of one, I just took one of the suggested names which was bzkfn. Shortly afterwards, my msn messenger was hacked, and I lost my email address, so when setting up a new one, I thought I might as well keep bzkfn. Now pretty much everything on the net I sign up for has this, and people on the net know me as thisI think Xbox live is the only online thing I don't have as this

I've had many names on here, I didn't really care for it so I just figured to hell with it and just use my real name.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Mine is a shout out to two of the greatest heavyweights ever...
Rocky "The Brockton Blockbuster" Marciano and Joe "The Brown Bomber" Lewis.
My true name and profession may have got me in trouble if I aired it.
I am the real Mike Tyson![]()
