What the F*** do they got to do with it? Not a damn thing. I got no problem with Vitali coming back and getting a title shot before Peter. He retired with the belt so he should be allowed to fight for it. But he should fight the fighter he was suppose to fight when he retired/quit/punked out (whatever you want call it). Hasim Rahman. Call it an interim title match. If you want. And let the winner fight Oleg. Let Peter wait.
Why should Peter have to wait?
Did his contract state then he doesn't get a title shot IF Vitali comes out of retirement? If it does then tough sh!t. if it doesnt,,,...sue away!
He should get all of his sanctioning fees back AT LEAST! plus damages in the millions!
If the contract is complete with an emeritus clause then Peter is a whiner and should STFU! Id like to see the contracts! probably 200 pages long!

Bro, I'm not gonna argue with you...you didn't say ANYTHING about thye title shot, you just bitched about Vitali wanting to fight Lewis and I said "it happens, it's always happened" that's all.

As for the title shot, yeah Vitali should probably take a warm up and then get his shot BUT let's just keep in mind that this instance right here sets what we in the legal system like to call a PRECEDENT for future events of similar fashion.......so in the future should a champ retire and be given emeritus status then what's going to happen will be based off of this decision.

I'm for Sam Peter getting his title shot, but I know that he won't have it long IF he's then ordered to fight Vitali

    He must be obsessed yeah

Were those comments since he's come back recently . If he has still got Lennox on his mind the guy has got some issues . He lost fair and square . Get over it . I thought Klitschko was an inteligent man so im surprised by this stupidity

Vitali needs to let the Lewis fight go...didnt he say he'd only be back if it was a fight against Lewis??!!

And yet here he is again!

Yes. It's beyond bizarre and flirts with some sort of obsessive disorder. He'll have the opportunity to redeem his K.O. loss to Maskaev, at least that's the way it seems right now.

point of clarification......the people who aren't fans of Vitali Klitschko are the people who bring this up more than anyone else.

If Vitali wants to fight a guy who has been retired since 2004 then that's his business...you are the jackasses paying attention to it....you have as much trouble "getting over it" as Vitali does

I remember When i watched that fight it seemed as though Lewis was going to end it. I think though for Vitali he needed the fight to be stopped for his long term health and for Lewis he needed to retire also for his long term health. There's no wonder Vitali still talks about it though as there was a big build up to that fight b/c Vitali wanted it for ages so it's no wonder he still wants a remetch as he should have won that fight but didn't. There is also no-one around at the moment with the kind of profile and pulling power Lewis had.

Yes. Very true. Welcome aboard. C.C. Every since Lewis retired there has been a rift in the division that hasn't been filled. I can understand Klit wanting to avenge his loss to the REAL champ in light of the fact that in the publics eye nobody has been able to fill Lewis' shoes. That includes both Klit brothers.

Thanks for the welcome. Perhaps Vitali is trying to become the guy to fill Lewis' shoes. There isn't much else he could say that would have us all talking about what he said. So now we'll all be interested in what he'll be doing next

He certainly isn't going to do that by calling Lewis out... bah, the division is so crap.. All Vitali could really do to impress anyone is beat Sam Peter convincingly, and since it seems Peter will get Maskaev before Vitali, Klitschko will pretty much have to go that way.

Yes agree with that. It's a shame about the division - perhaps it's in a "rebuilding phase"? But I guess there would be no post here (or at least as long as this one) if Vitali was calling Sam Peter out.

Vitali should quit whining and accept the fact Lewis is never gonna return and also accept the fact Lewis mashed his face up to the point of no continue.

Yeah Vitali was leading on the cards so what,Leading on the scorecards dosent help when the fight is stopped does it.

Also he may of lead on the cards but Lennox the Great always found a way to win

Vitali continue your career and stop whining like a girl.

Looking at the video clip it seems to me its quite a surprise that the fight was stopped. Listening to the commentary of the previous round it was all about Vitali is on top, Lewis is shot and cant hardly stand, and Vitalis just got to keep going and he will win.

So why at that point was it stopped, either:

    1. The cut - but Lenoox was shot by that point so it couldnt have got any worse
    2. The powers that be didnt want Lennox to lose, and by that round it was looking like he would.

Theres a lot of people who think option 2, and Im one of them. It was a very fast decision straight after the bell - they didnt even ask the cornermen or Vitali... i think it was highly questionable

Mate Lewis was no more 'shot' that Vitali was at that stage - and did you see Vitali's face?? That fight had to be stopped - infact it went on far to long!! The damage was caused by punches and therefore Lewis did what he had to do - doesn't matter what the scorecards said - Did Herol Graham beat Julian Jackson? Did Meldrick Taylor beat JCC? Did John Tate beat Mike Weaver??

    NO!!
