Same here bro im not one of those people that stick my head in the sand and close my eyes and ears to the real world but what im saying is no calendar or psychic can predict anything you know how many times i've heard storys like these i hear this every other year its all crap the real thing we need to worry about is global warming which will happen not some stupid calendar that means nothing its just another hype story like i hear every other year i mean i heard there was no way we could survive 2006 because a calendar said so similar to this and we are still here i say worry about real things like global warming and not some nonsense calendar that won't happen.

My feelings on this matter are that if the Mayan's were so clever that they could fortell the end of world civilisation in 2012 they should have been clever enough to know the Spanish were coming for them in the 17th century

To bad there were no longer any Mayans before the Spanish arrived. They integrated with the other surrounding civilizations or died out.

It's too bad no body kep up the calendar after that. I thought I read that some of the natives DID know that the spanish were coming down to the very day. Why don't you look it up.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Did they predict world war 1 and 2 if anyone honestly believes this old calendar has any sinificance to the supposedly world ending in 2012 then they have more screws loose than Jade Goody.

Certainly it is a mystery made even more so by the fact that they were able to fool the Spanish into thinking they were still there and that they finally conquered them in 1697 according to Wikipedia.

Yeah that just about sticks a fork in their ability to predict the future.

It's been explained that people tend to read what they want to read when looking at ancient prophecies. If something ws written like "Animals will become sick" (but in some fancy language way) people could relate it to ANY widespread animal disease throughout the course of history. Some people have stated that ancient prophecies predicted the widespread of mad cow disease. Is that really what it said? As far as i'm concerned unless somebody has directly written down "Hitler, born of austria, will capture and execute sveral millions of the jewish race thus marking the beginning of the second world war" none of those guys predeicted world war 2.

As for 2012, i've recently heard some information that has actually swayed my view on it. I have to believe it as a possibility because the core reasons for 2012 are related to and actually support my theory on how the universe works. I'll try and summarize it to the best of my ability:

There's an alter world to this one where ghosts and dream bodies dwell. Apparently they were able to take a chair from a ship that went thru the bermuda triangle (a spot where this mass-phantom stuff happens more readily) and find certain matter wave frequencies that it contained. They then put volunteers (many of which who were never seen again) in this chair, isolated the frequency that apparently lets you go to this alter world and told them to walk around. They were also able to send special types of atoms into this area by making them move at the speed of light (its easier to do if you just heat it up because once an element gets to a certain point if vibrates faster than the speed of light because all heat is is the vibration of atoms).

Those that successfully came back said that when they moved forward, they were spanning not only distance but time as well. If they exited that world thru a different portal than the one they came into, they would end up in the world the same as how they went in however the area around will have passed time. A plane flying thru the triangle had a similar effect where watch on the plane was 10 minutes slow but the people on board couldn't tell when there was a rift between regular time and what happened to them.

Some people had many sucessful trips back and forth between the alter world and ours. By that they were able to measure exactly what distance equals to how much time so they could essentially travel thru time intentionally (in spirit form only so they'd be able to see things and no so much be able to touch them). The problem arose when every single person doing this would end up at december 12, 2012. Apparently they ran into a wall and going beyond it was meaningless because what they saw differed from person to person (whatever the person expected or wanted to see is basically what they saw).

They are now saying that the event that will take place in 2012 doesn't have to do with the destruction of earth (that is still many years off) however they are saying that a universal phenomenon will occur in which our exsistance will become 4 dimensional or something like that.

Not sure i completely buy the whole thing, but i must now atleast consider it.
