He had it planned in advance,he knew Foreman would punch himself out.
Go back and watch the first round of it
He's trying to decide if he can end it quick, and if he can take what George is bringing
He decides he cant take the big boy out in a hurry, but he can take his punches
So he goes with plan B
His corner was spazzing, but he kept telling them,"I know what Im doing"

maybe mate but before hand Gearge didn't show any stamina issues so for me and i'm a massive ali fan i think it was abit of luck involved also... hence no rematch

No George until his comeback allways on tape looked beatable that way
Its just could you take the punishment
The old George was actually alot smarter,"Here's the center of the ring,Ill be waiting for you"
If you could put the two versions together
    Oh sweet Jesus
    Thats murder in trunks

The match was like watching my kids play patty cakes .. Only the kiddos play with more intensity and determination factor. Stale performances by both men IMO.

Klitchko is more annoying then quality. Maybe 4 rights hands the whole night? And that club str8 arm jab type thing ?? Funny the Ref kept letting him throw that, surprised me to be honest.
    I‘d have serious issue with that B.S . .

And what a horrible strategy by Ibrogimov. He Stay in Klitchko’s range by choice. ??, Sultan should have been pressing from the gate. never being more then an inch off the chest of Wladimir.

I believe that the fans will be glad to see David Tua back in action , a busy year 2008 . A fight in April in Michigan. Then Showtime matches in July and Sept , a title fight in the fall . get ready for some exhilarating performances !

Now THAT is what's REALLY wrong with the heaveyweight division.. When people are waiting to see TUA back in action, all hope is lost.

Oh yes we cannot wait til Tua is back

Tua is a guy who will get punched in the face for 12 rounds and land 1 punch and you wait ALL FIGHT for 1 punch and sometimes it never comes.

David Tua wasn't all that when he was in his prime!

Wladimir had a bad night....he won....get over it

Oh he won the fight, almost everyone including me,thought he would.
Its just the manner he won it in
    Not very convincing
Most fight fans will tell you they BEG for a heavyweight to convince them that they are it
I actually lost a bunch of faith in him tonight,I thought he'd be that real deal
He was bigger,he was in better shape,he had better legs, and all he did was try to survive

hey, if this was 2001, I would be saying hell yeah... But at 36-37 (whatever he is now) I ain't sitting around dreaming of the day old TUA comes back and saves the division..

He is - was a fun fighter to watch, I'll give you that.. But not a serious contender at this point..

Nobody wanted Wlad to win by KO more than me but I can totally see where that trepidation of attacking a southpaw comes from.

This was a mental hurdle Wladimir had to get over and he did it...in a way that put some people to sleep but I am still psyched he won.

Sultan has a style much like that of Sanders and people give Wlad a ton of crap about his chin and right now people seem to totally forget about it. It would put some doubt in my mind if I was attacking a southpaw counterpuncher waiting for me to miss the right cross and be off balance....Wlad might have looked bad but he would look a lot worse sprawled out on the canvas

Agreed...That was the only way Ali or anyone else at the time was beating George, To move around and risk getting caught with your hands down against him would be suicide...Foreman hit that hard....

Wlad had a bad night, happens to everyone

I noticed in his last few fight he stopped using the right hand , just hiding behind a jab , this is a bad habit he wants to break, once he is in tough he will feel like fish out of water. The right hand won’t feel natural to throw when forced into battle and thus his timing will be off from this
    .
The opportunities to toss the right hand were there all night long. he could have and should have closed the show impressive, with his obvious assets and talent.

Gun shyness is a sure way to kissing the canvas. good thing for Wlad this Sultan fellow stayed in Wlad's range by design.. that still baffles me??

typical mayweather strategy and mentality . Funny everyone thinks they can be Floyd Mayweather. the thing is, it takes tremendous natural talent, to take a shit boring style and make it work like Floyd can .. Fact is most can't .. this is an example of that. YUCK ,,

All he had to do was step to the right, and drop it.
And he just wouldnt do it for whatever reason
I kept trying to convince myself that he was trying to wear Ibragimov down, but the 12th only looked like a slower version of the first

Well by the 12th there was no reason to try for the KO....too much risk and Wlad was already going to win the fight handily.

It was a shame the 11th didn't last a minute longer those right hooks Wlad landed hurt Sultan and had he been able to follow up that would have been all she wrote
