I was a big fan of MMA and started watching boxing to learn about handskill, because in MMA you will see high kick KOs, knee KOs, but the LARGE majority of KOs happen with fists because its the most practical weapon on the human body.

Personally I just grew fond of the sport, and I loved the science. I stopped watching it for the action and started becoming entralled with the art and the defense. I believe the art of boxing is to hit and not get hit, so when I saw guys like Ali, Pernell, Roy Jones, FLoyd Mayweather, and later on guys like Niccolino Locche, Willie Pep, ect, I just fell in love with that kind of style because IMO thats what boxing is all about.

I love the characters of boxing too, past and present. I really enjoyed (and still do) reading up on the characters of boxing past.

I enjoy it, because it is the ultimate platform for somebody to impose they superiority of either will, physicality or technique upon somebody else. once they are in the ring there is no substitute, there are no time outs, its up to them to shine.

I think what I love most is the artistry that some fighters produce, I mean some guys can seem unhittable in a 20 by 20 foot ring, some guys can walk through 200 punches that would knock any normal person out cold. The focus, but Roy Jones Jr really made me love the sport with how easy he made such a difficult sport look. I was good at every sport I played, but boxing was technically a lot more challenging for me, and it is the hardest sport to emulate what the fighters do on tv because it goes against everything your body is telling you to do, but then one day you do everything without even conciously thinking about it, and thats a special feeling, when the sport becomes fun... then somebody gives you a run for your money, and its back to square one again.

Nothing makes you feel the way boxing does when you see a great fight in the calibre of Gatti-Ward, Barrera-Morales, Corrales-Castillo and so on. When the hairs on the back of your neck stand up because of the amazing entertainment on display it is an amazing feeling.

Also for me when one of your favourite fighters does something special that sticks in your mind, like for me when Jones fought Toney for example, he took a move from one of his game cocks and when Toney tried copying it he caught him with that left hand and sent him reeling across the ring which resulted in the knockdown!

Excuse the writing at the beginning I wouldn't quite call it a devastating knockdown. Just a classy one.

I mean what else about it? everyone likes it for different reasons...Some are casual fans and some of us practically live it as a past time....

Me personally I became involed as a fan when I was about 5 or so because my Dad was such a huge fan....Then I just kept on with it...Just like some do in football, baseball etc....

As I got older I became friends with fighters Floyd Patterson was my first regular boxing pal he lived not too far from my Uncle and I ran into him often as a kid and he would talk to me sometimes for an hour or two until we became on a first name basis...Then I wanted to know everything about him and would read books etc....

Eventually I learned what it was like for these guys and the backgrounds of many of these guys coming up and why they became fighters...Most as a means to an end....

Today I undertsand what it is like for these guys to have a dream of glory, how hard they train, how many don't like to fight but know it is their best chance to make a life for their families...How most are not even violent people, what they sacrafice...It makes you understand why a loss is so hard...

Boxing is the ugliest thing to ever be involved in because the risk for most is not worth the reward, You learn how lonely it is for these guys when the spotlight fades, how they are taken advantage of by promoters...

It is the most interesting sport in the world because it shows exactly how much a person is willing to sacrafice, you get to see these guys reap the rewards from their hard work....You want to see these guys do well knowing what they go through..

It is almost like watching a never ending movie...

So I am just curious on what it is about the sport that keeps you coming back for more...Be it just the violence or be it you are just a fanatic
now who is stupid? if you're a fan, boxing analyst, a boxing freak, or a guy who has a fighther friend that thinks he already knew boxing or whatever you wanna call yourself then shame on you.if you really knew and understand the sport and business of boxing these thread wont pop up into your mind. you wanna know what i think about you? you just wanna be there, when you don't belong. "VIOLENCE, FANATIC" hahahaha

A$$WIPE, you just keep on proving that you have the mental capacity of an 8 year old.

This is the second time you've disrespected Daxx, big mistake!!!

His knowledge of boxing is something you will only be able to dream about.

The level of respect he gets from those that know him, is something you will never achieve in a lifetime.

Go to your room, you're grounded!!! Get your teddy bear, and go curl up in your Manny Pacquiao blanket.
