To answer the question at the top of the thread, I honestly think that Haye has more of a chance against Wlad than anyone else around in todays lacklustre HW divison and had he took the fight and won without any pay he would have still set himself up for huge paydays.

But I wouldn't go to work if I wasn't going to get paid and really why should anyone? Haye signed a contract that was surprising to say the least, with all the rematch clauses and then not to get any money on top of that would have been a disgrace! So I think he was right to pull out although I was disappointed at first.

So Haye is the most dangerous fighter at heavyweight outside the Klitschko's...based on what David Haye has only proven that he can talk more at heavyweight than at cruiserweight.

As for his pulling out, why make up an injury Wlad is a nice guy, he's a smart guy why not just tell his management about Setanta's issues and try and renegotiate? OH wait a second, they didn't do that because they were very difficult in negotiating the original contract.

haye should have gone through with the fight. it was him that chased it up and got 65 000 fans interested enough to buy tickets, plane tickets, book hotel rooms, take time off work... he was so c*ck sure he was going to win and kept going on and on about how he was going to knock vladamir von trap out and then he pulls out.
everyones saying that he shouldnt fight for free because he might lose well if he's so sure he's going to win then what's the problem?
he should have fought for the glory and the fans. he would have got paid from setanta, they would have been legally obliged to pay him even if he had to take them to court. and he would now be world heavy weight champ and be able to comand millions of dollars worth of fights.
the only reason he pulled out was because he wasnt convinced he could win it after all that trash talk.
im really hoping he can get a rematch and vladamir knocks him out
