Thank fuck Ricky dropped Frank Warren, otherwise he'd have been fighting unknown eastern european's for the WBU belt for the rest of his career. Warren nearly fucked up Calzaghe's career because he can't deliver the big fights, I'm so glad it never happened to Hatton. Remember Johnny Nelson? That coulda been you Ricky.

Where's Haye - Maccarinelli Frank? Scared you might lose your cash cow? Course you are, you've got another 60 defenses of the WBO-LLOCKS world title planned, culminating in a showdown with Alex Vassilev and Firat Arslan!

Your always going to get some detractors with Hatton, Mayweather, Calzaghe, Margarito, Pacman, Barrera because they're so huge, and their rivals have huge followings, and Frank Warren is bitter, he should just get his cash out the bank and roll around in it, he's so successful as a promoter, it might cheer him up a bit.

    Boring

If you're British and don't fight for FW you're either

    a) Crap
    b) Badly managed
    c) Overrated
    d) Ducking his fighters
    e) All of the above

Wonder if they'll kiss and make up one day
I reckon Warren could have done slightly better than Maussa,Collazo and Urango post Tszyu

Nice post dan, gave me a giggle, and that's worth one of my coveted CC's. Print it out and put it on the wall in a frame

I must agree that Warren is just bitter though, because look at the money hatton is making fighting in Vegas and on HBO, while even Calzaghe aint making that kind of money because he's still in Britain. The gate receipts from the Calzaghe bout at the Millenium should cheer the grumpy bugger up though.

Your kidding yourself if you think non boxing fans know who those 2 are, let alone either of them being a big draw cash cow for any one.

Frank does the best for his fighters, the fighters he knows are capable, he will move them up, Hatton Tszyu is a prime example

The mans a cunt but he also does understand very well his fighters strengths and weekneses.

He was worse when he had Hamed, dyou remember him grinning and agreeing with all Hameds bullshit after his fights, like the schoold bullys little right hand man

If I were a professional boxer though, it would have to be Frank as my manager, he can deliver the big fights.

At the end of the day it is the fighters themselves who decide who they fight, not Frank, they will get offered a name and its up to them to say yes or no.

If Frank makes a big fight, be sure everythings in his fighters favour, he did try to make Macaranelli Haye but hayes team didnt like something in the contract, Frank wouldnt have even written up a bogus contract just for them to say he changed it and didnt want the fight in the first place,he wouldnt want to lose face, I think there may be more to it and Hayes people know his limitations

JLC, IMO is not shot but he has looked like crap in his last 2 fights......
Could be weight could be hes winding down his career......
I for one don't fancy them fighting I don't see the appeal especially the way BOTH have looked in their previous fights.....

This div. IMO at the moment is the weakest I mean
Hatton vs. Witter, Harris, Holt, Lazcano, D-Hop, Torres
    Not really appealing match ups....IMO

He hasn't delivered the biggest fights. Hatton vs Tszyu was big and so was Lacy vs calzaghe but apart from that there's not an awful lot. Maccarinelli is far more limited than Haye is. Macarinelli is Warren's Cash Cow at the minute and he doens't want to risk him against Haye. That's why he wud only let haye sign a 3 fight deal, because Haye can become Warren's cash cow if he wins.
